Oops...I Did It Again. 7 Nights Dlx, A March '12 PDR *Update 1/16 Day 7 ADR Plans*

A second for Starring Rolls! They have excellent sandwiches (and AWESOME desserts)!

I'm completely drawing a blank on CS at DHS. Sorry.

Haven't tried Brown Derby yet, but read some good reviews lately.

I have as well, I am usually a "try it for myself type" but last time there were a slew of bad reviews about them right before we left, so I ended up cancelling our rezzie there and going to Artist Point instead. It ended up being a good choice, since we had a fabulous meal there, but I always wished we had gotten to try out Brown Derby, and now we can!!

We will be there the same time as you! Looking forward to reading your reviews. We love Cali Grill and Whispering Canyon as well. I'll have to get our ADR list and PTR up before we go. We will be staying at FQ. Getting excited! Almost time!

I know! We are just over the 45 day mark now, I am at the point where I just need to be there. I know that the 45 days will go by quickly, and before I know it we will be there, but it's driving me, and everyone else around me insane.

We enjoy the Backlot Express every trip for our DHS CS credit. :goodvibes

However, I think we're considering Starring Rolls Cafe this year.

Oh good pick! I just read the Backlot Express menu and the veggie sandwich sounds AMAZING!

I had never even thought about going to Starring Rolls! We got some of their nummy desserts there last trip, but I didn't even consider them for a meal! I have always been so distacted by the buttercream and sugar amazingness around me that I forget there is actual food there!

Hard decision, I think its going to be a game day choice for us!

It's funny that since I've said this, I've now read 2 really bad reviews of HBD. I guess like everything else, you'll get plenty of good and plenty of bad. Glad to see you're another who likes to try things for themselves and form their own opinion.

Wow, this pre-dining report is almost finished!! Sorry its been so long of a delay, but its been crazy busy! We now have a second trip planned, thats is only one and a half months after we get back from our Disney World trip! That's right guys! We are off to Disneyland April 22nd - 26th. More Disney, and more dining! I am going to hold off on discussing any Disneyland dining until I finish up with this PDR though.

So, we are on to Day 7 of the trip, meaning we are down to 3 days of dining, and 7 ADR's left!

Day 7 is a Magic Kingdom Day for us. Last year we had a breakfast ADR at Kona for our breakfast. I loved their food, but their service was horrendously slow. Their server really rubbed me the wrong way, and even though there were only a few other people in the restaurant, and despite having a 7:30 AM ADR that we were 15 minutes early for, we somehow missed rope drop. Service was that bad, so I don't plan to repeat it.

So, I decided we would try something new, and head to....

Wait for it....

A bit longer....

1900 Park Fare. I'm not a huge fan of character breakfasts, or buffets, but this one sounds really yummy. So why not? Chilled strawberry soup and lobster eggs benedict are calling to me!

After spending the morning in the Magic Kingdom, its time to monorail it back over to our lunch ADR in the Polynesian, at........Kona Cafe. Since we don't have any time sensitive plans why not give it a try! It sounds super yummy.

Then we will probably take a break back at our hotel before our dinner reservation at the Grand Floridian. I really tossed around the idea of cancelling this ADR in favor of one of the new signatures on the dining plan, but in the end, I am about 90% confident we are going to keep this one. Unless we (mostly I) am swayed by a dining review of one of the new places in the meantime. :rotfl:

So there you have it...that was Day 7 in a nutshell!

It's true! Some of the places that I read the worst reviews on (50's Prime Time and Liberty Tree Tavern) we had some of our best meals there.
