I was kicking myself last night for not borrowing my friend's Cricut while she is on vacation this week. The thread on the $299 Expressions Bundle caught my eye last night so I went searching again for the prices on them. I found $339 and then it was posted earlier they are $319 in the store right now. I know that DH was planning to get me one for my birthday or Christmas, but both are months away, and who wants to wait???!!!

So I showed him the $319 ad, secretly hoping he would say that we should make the hour trip to ACM and get one. Instead he went to his computer and printed off an ebay auction that had ended at midnight last night-- where he bought me one!!!:yay: So now I have ruined his surprise and will be getting my anniversary present 2 months early. I suspect he wouldn't have been able to keep it a surprise for that long anyway! He knows how much I have been wanting one.

So now he is off researching the SCAL software and keeps updating me on the information he has found. He is a keeper!:love:

Good for you (and him!)!

My baby Bug came from ebay last year - a great deal and no problems. Hope the same for you.

My DH gave me SCAL for this past Mother's Day - I had already done the price research and found the best price at www.candacraft.com. It was $59. No coupon or code needed. I've just gotten the chance to start playing around with it in the past few days...fun, fun, fun!

:yay::yay:

Sorry the surprise was ruined, but now he doesn't have to hide it. ;) :thumbsup2

Welcome to being bitten by the bug! Have fun with your new toy! You're gonna LOVE it! :love:

Have fun playing with your new toy when it comes! :cool1:

:lmao: That is what DH said when I called him-- "Get off the phone and go cut something!"

:woohoo: Made some great tags for a layout I am working on!

But a question: The mat is SUPER sticky! It is curling the paper (I am not using cardstock, but some 12x12 paper) and is really difficult to get off. Is there a way to reduce the sticky a bit without ruining it?

Use it a few more times, and you'll be back here complaining about how your mat isn't sticky enough. :goodvibes Don't worry, it will stop curling patterned paper soon enough. I try to use cardstock on a brand new mat for the first few cuts.

I have never owned one, so I wouldn't know but congrats on your new toy madame! Love the photo in your signature :rotfl:

Lovetoscrap, try these tricks, to make your mat less sticky pat your hands all over it. The oil in your hands takes off just enought sticky for the paper not to curl when the mat is new. Also clean your mat with baby wipes when you are done for the day it will help them to last longer. Have fun with the cricut I just LOVE mine.
