Some of you may remember me posting about breaking my ankle last year. It was very slow to heal & I had to wear a bone stimulator & a boot brace for several months.
Saturday I was walking around a house being built by my friend. Went to get back into the car & slipped on the loose dirt & off the side of the curb. I knew right away that my ankle was broken again.
Went to the ER, where they x-rayed it & set it back into position. Saw the orthopedic surgeon today and am scheduled to have surgery tomorrow to have a plate & pins placed. The small bone is shattered into many pieces & the large bone has a large "chunk" broken off. Dr. said I will probably always have problems with this ankle. I'll probably be touring WDW
on a scooter next trip!
So - not such a fun Halloween for me. I'd appreciate any spare P & PD you could send my way. TIA!
