Okay so I just had to call DVC as I have rented my points for two different trips coming up in the next two months. MS had the info reversed so I had to call and straighten it out. They were pissed and told me I couldn't rent my points and that there would be SEVERE penalties. I AM FREAKING OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!

We need more info on this one. Exactly what did you tell them and what did they tell you. Renting points is totally permited. While there are some restrictions on renting points, it is legal.

Only that i had rented my points out for two upcoming trips and that the info on names on the reservations was incorrect, We then went through all the correct info and the guy told me renting points was not a term of the contract and there would be severe penalties.

I concur - this is totally acceptable and the CM was way out of line (and under-trained). There's no need to freak out. Seriously.

You know, stuff like that really bothers me. Lack of training is one thing, but snarkiness is just uncalled for.
