Oooooooo DF gave me an offer I'm not sure I can refuse....

Thank you sooooo much Mommy Poppins! Those pics are adorable and I love that Cinderella left a big kiss on the litte one...so cute! I also love the pics of you and your hubby dancing with Minnie and Mickey. I'm really going to have to work on my DF to get them ;)

I didn't do a character meal for my wedding, but we went to Ohana's for our "reception". I was in my wedding dress and no one seemed to mind or make comments unless it was how nice I looked. Note to self though you cannot challenge the best man to a hulo (sp) hoop contest when wearing silk, the hoop has nothing to hold onto :rotfl2:

I would ditch the mice and have a second Disney vacation next year.

i second the GF cafe idea, beautiful bright restaurant, good breakfast food, lots of fun! or 1900 park fare if you really want characters

I've done GF Cafe' for lunch before so I know what would be on the menu, but my EM booked me without saying what the cost would be. I'm wondering if we would be ordering off of the regular menu or a different menu with 4 or 5 choices? :confused3

I would have the cruise, but I would also want minnie mickey too. They were a lot of money but worth every penny in my opinion.
I look back and regret a few things that I didn't do, so think wisely. Remember it can't be repeated.

hhmmm...I'm not sure. good question though! your EM def. needs to answer some questions!

What would you do?
Sajetto, this is the way that I would look at it. I would spend the money on the wedding. You only get married once, however, you can cruise any time you’d like.

Go for the cruise, hands down. The wedding will be over in the blink of an eye. I didn't get married at WDW (but wish I had) but we spent ALOT of money and in hindsight we always say we wish we'd cut this or that because we didn't get to enjoy it, or it wasn't worth it. It is so easy to get wrapped up in wedding plans and want everything to be the best it can be....but it is over too fast and poof - that money is gone. That ten day cruise would be a deal breaker for me, but we love cruises! Good luck with your plans - you'll make a beautiful bride. :thumbsup2

Well girls we finally came to a decision and we are both very happy :goodvibes :teeth:

I was talking about this situation with my parents over the weekend while we were having an estate sale for my Great Aunt who died 2 years ago. We were extremely busy trying to pull out her antique furniture so it wasn't something that I had on my mind. I got pretty sad when I was helping my mom, dad, and friend drag down a marble top dresser from the 1920's that my great aunt always said she would give to me (my house is too small and its too fancy for what I own anyway.) Well, a few hours later my mom shoves a huge wad of cash in my pocket, I pull it out and its $2,800!!!!! She sold that dresser and another piece to a horse breeder and antique collector that owns a huge farmhouse down the road and gave me half of what she sold it for. Mom said "well, looks like you have enough cash there to ride the carriage if you wanted ;) "

Welllllllllll.....that's what we're doing! I'm getting the carriage and Minnie and Mickey (my DF is paying for those 2) and we'll just be satisfied with our 2 week honeymoon. ;)

We've been planning on taking a DCL cruise for 2008 anyway, but I'm sure it won't be for 10 days. We'll see what happens with that later.

Thanks for all the help! :goodvibes

That story just gave me chills! What a great mom you have. Enjoy every minute of the wedding.

My mom is incredible! She didn't have to give me half of that money at all, it was her aunt and she's the one who inherited that stuff, not me. I think she really knew that I wanted to ride the carriage, but I never brought it up because it is so expensive. I only mentioned Minnie and Mickey. I LOVE my mom :goodvibes

WOW! what a great Mom....

Congrats on the carriage and Mickey and Minnie! You'll definately be the Belle of the Ball!

Awww... that is going to be so magical!!! Wedding and cruise both!! 7 nights will still be so wonderful. I'm planning our 5th cruise now. Good luck and what a wonderful mother you have!
