If someone had come in and taken my animals away, oooo that lady would have been hurt!!!!

I'm glad to see she kept Nugget at the end though and seems to love her. I would have been fuming if someone had taken my babies out of my house.

me too. I instantly did not like her!! Nugget is very cute and real friendly and I am glad he got to stay. :)

Yeah I would have been really really pissed if she took my babies away. (meaning my pets)

I know .. she was quite the anal one! I couldn't believe she just sent them away ... "storage" ... like they were clothes or something!!!

Sorry guys. I kind of have to side with the other lady. I mean, when she moved that china cabinet and there was caked on feces behind it that had been there for God knows how long and they admitted that she let the animals use the bathroom IN the house I thought I would faint. Also, did you see that they had 23 pets and they let the prairie dog run free? :faint: I love animals too, but I couldn't imagine living like that. JMHO. :o

I could not have lived like that either. I love my pets, but I cant stand going into a home where dog and cat poop is on the floor. I thought the home was very pretty when she got through with it. Glad she kept her little kittie in the end. He was so cute!!

I gotta agree with Pete's mom. 23 animals is just too many. That place was gross and unsanitary for children to be living in. Ewww. I couldn't live like that. But I am glad that she loosened up some and was willing to change. I just wish animal woman had learned something from the experience!

Granted 23 pets is way to much for a clean house. But to me, the other wife was way to uptight. Her own kids liked the mother with the pets more.

i was glad to see their household change fterwards. And they kept the cat.

Yeah, but at least the uptight mom loosened up. I think the other one was completely closed minded and did the opposite afterward just to be defiant. :(

I was really shocked that she let the Nugget stay. I was so glad to see her pet the cat, and even allow it on her bed. I was so afraid she would make the family give the cat away. Her putting the other familie's pets "in storage" was completely wrong though. I didn't agree with that at all. Yes, she could clean while she was there but she should have let the pets stay. The other woman shouldn't have said she hated her though, that was wrong too. I mean, it's only for two weeks, deal with what you've got in the best way you can but don't make major changes like that. I was glad to see neat-freak's husband loosen up, and play his guitar, and I loved it when he was talking and petting the cat.

So you would have cleaned up poop from 23 animals every day for two weeks?

Ok, I am totally for the lady that 'sent the pets away' and wasn't surprised at the owner's crying reaction.

Let's be honest here, if this weren't national TV, and if anyone would have mentioned to the authorities about the animals pooping all over and such, any kids would have been put into foster care and the parents charged with neglect in some way or form.

So, for those of you upset they took her 'babies' away and that you could never let anyone do that to yours - how many of you let your 'babies' poop and urinate on your floors? How many of you would be appalled if a friend came over and had to step over pet feces to get the living room and hope the couch hadn't been peed on lately?

I have no problem with having lots of pets and taking care of them. Letting them roam the house and poop all over is over the top, IMHO.

I see more of a problem with that mom introducing a pet into a house where the mother did not want any. The other mom can get her animals back, but she put the mom in a terrible situation by bringing in a pet. The kids already loved the cat, and she would have to break their hearts to send it back.

Luckily it worked out well.

It's a good thing she didn't swap houses with me while DS was potty training--a process that lasted several months. I wonder what she would have done with him when he had multiple accidents on the floor?

Seriously, 23 pets would be too many for me, but I can see why the woman was mad that they were sent away. I have 2 elderly cats and being in a kennel for 1 week could really freak them out permanently.

I was really glad the other woman kept the new cat Nugget. She seems to be dealing with her OCD tendencies in a healthy way. The whole family is much happier. I like peace and quiet as much as the next person, but was anyone else freaked out about how QUIET the house had to be in the beginning?

I didn't see it last night but it sounds like a repeat - was this the one with the couple that drank the coffee through the straws so they wouldn't stain their teeth?

yep kasar that's the one!!

I also have to side with the anal retentive lady on the animals thing (and the animals thing ONLY!). I am not an animal person to begin with so 25 would overwhelm me and for the cleanliness of the house I would have done the same thing, not gotten rid of all of them but some. I mean, how many people have kangaroos jumpin around their houses? That can't smell too great!

Yes that's the family. It was the first Wifeswap I saw a couple of months ago. I didn't see the very end of it last time, and I was so glad to see the OCD lady had lightened up and was getting along with her family much better. It bothered me that she didn't talk to her kids much, though I didn't agree with the animal lady's theory of being your kids' friend. Isn't there a happy medium?

I'm with the OCD lady on the pet issue. I think the animal lover was embarassed at being called out on national TV for having a filthy house. That's why her reaction was so strong. Can you imagine the SMELL in that house before it was cleaned? She needed to change as much as OCD did, but refused.

I don't buy all the "I'm their friend" garbage. Those kids were as neglected as her house. That poor two-year old needed a schedule and a nap-time from the looks of her. Her animals also looked unkempt; their fur was matted and dirty. That woman needs help.

As bad as OCD lady was, I was with her! I felt so bad for her when she woke up and stepped out of the bedroom to find poop in the doorway. She picked it up with tears in her eyes (probably from holding back a gag) and said she was going to throw up. I would of! That house was sooo gross!

I cannot believe none of those kids had any kind of structure. No bedtime for a 2yo???? As strict as OCD lady was and as anal retentive they both were, I would take their lifestyle over the CT couple anyday!

I agree that at least the PA family took what they learned and CHANGED from it, where as the CT family, sure they had a dining room table now, but they had pizza strewn all over it. With all the animals running about. How about cooking a meal for the family?

Did anyone notice the animal lady had a Mickey wreath outside her house?? I wonder if she is a diser? I have to agree 23animals is too much and to think that 2 year old was crawling and eating things off the floor not too long ago Yuck!!!
