I was on the strategy board (cool threads on there BTW) & was reading about coin presses. You know, you use your penny then pay 50 cents to $1 to get an imprint on your coin.....

THINK of the scrapbooking possibilities here! Covering an album, a coin on each page ..... aaagghh!!! I'm excited!

So I looked up DL Coin presses on Google - try it out, one site gives you the locations of every press in DL!!!! :Pinkbounc

B/c of this coin thing, I'm seriously considering scrapping our trip on my own (instead of my mom) .... let your creative side go wild!

When you get to Disneyland, go to the Penny Arcade and ask for a list of the penny machines. They will be happy to give you one right there.

I'm not sure if you have heard this wonderful tip for pressed pennies.

M & M minis are sold with the individual candy bars at most stores. When empty the plastic tube the candy comes in is a wonderful coin holder. Fill the tube with layers of a shiny penny and two quarters. When you get to a pressed penny machine getting the correct change from your bag is really easy. At DL I used many machines while people were fumbling and looking for the correct change.

Have a Disney day,

Brenda

And a tip for carrying them on the plane, for speeding along at the baggage check:

Put the coins in a clear ziploc bag so the security folks can see what they are and don't have to search through your luggage. Then load them into the empty m&m mini tubes while on the flight.
