Hi - just another quick question!!

Which water park is best for really little ones (2 and a half year olds to be exact!!)???

And does anyone know whether Typhoon Lagoon is always closed for the whole of November?? We are planning to arrive on the 6th Nov next year (a long way off I know!!) and wondered whether either of the water parks might be closed??

Cheers!!

Hiya

I liked Blazzrd Beach the best its open so you can see more. Make sure you use loads of sun block, the sun reflects against the white.

I am not sure which park is due to close, I dont think they have released it yet. I would phone Disney and see if they know which park is due for refurbishment. I think it was Typhoon Last year, not hundred percent sure.

Was in Disney last October/november and it was only typhoon that was open, so I booked same time this year thinking it would be the same only to learn it will probably be BB open not TL this year (apparently due to the installation of the crush 'n' gusher earlier this year) If thats the case don't be too disappointed, whilst my only experience is of TL which i would say was excellent for little 'uns I'm sure BB will be just as well equipped

So Typhoon Lagoon wont be open during October? If this is the case then im totally gutted because ive been waiting to go on Crush 'n' Gusher since it opened, also ive never been to TL before.

one water park is closed the other remains open, then its swapped around the following year.maybe phone or look on the disney website to see which one will be open this year.
i think TL is best for the kids as it is a much slower easy going water park than BB!

It certainly looks that way, I'm as disappointed as you but still waiting until Novs opening times are released to double check, It may change back again for the following year so don't give up all hope, BTW typhoon lagoon was amazing which is why we booked for that time this year but I'll let you know after my trip what I thought of BB :)

Hi askdavis! :wave2:

We much prefer TL for the kids - the kids area at BB is not so easy to keep track of them, whereas at TL you can sit and relax in a chair and be able to watch them at all times.

At BB you have to sort of follow them around (sorry, I am a bit paranoid about my children and water) as they are not visible at all times due to the way it's designed.

Having said that, both are lots of fun so whichever you get will be great :)

Bye for now :wave2:

Thinking back to our first few trips (Sam now 10, going on 20!), I think that the major considerations were:

Pro's
Tikes Peak area at BB very child friendly with scaled down rides and a very safe area that you could watch over

TL benefitted from much more natural shade and cooler areas, plus easier to walk around due to abundant sandy beaches/bathing areas

Con's
BB is a concrete jungle, very white due to snow theming, so always felt like in the sun/little shade

TL's best bit is the wave pool which Sam has only grown to love since he reached (say) 7 y.o.

Hope that helps ::MickeyMo

there's no guarantee that one of the parks will be closed in early november.
It depends on what they have scheduled for upgrade and how long that will take.

we've been at WDW in december when both waterparks were open....so it depends...
you could try calling WDW and ask them if either waterpark is scheduled to be down when you're visiting....
they probably already know...
