Oogie Boogie Bash Halloween 2023 Super Thread

We’re just going to do shirts this year. It’s just too hot for costumes especially since we’re going in September this year.

Food didn’t get released until super late last year. I almost wanna say we didn’t have a food guide until a day or 2 before Halloween started. It definitely wasn’t earlier than the week before.

August 29, 2022 was the foodie guide release date last year. And Halloween season began September 2, 2022 so yup, pretty close at only 4 days before.

Thank you. I was trying to plan for the Happiest Haunt Tour and my only weekend date is sold-out. Oh well.
Bummer. Keep checking, my Friday was sold out but popped back up. We are doing the tour on Thursday since you apparently can't see the fireworks as well from iasw.

Are they offering a Plaza Inn package for Halloween Screams this year? I thought I read they were but cannot find any info on it now.

Here’s the links from another thread
My mistake Plaza is 60. Still high when Magic Happens is $45. Sorry! Edited original post.

Just to be clear for others, here are the links:

That's different to last year's Halloween Screams package, isn't it? Last year it was dessert party style.

Are the fireworks for Halloween Screams only on Fri-Sun?
I see that it is on Monday the 4th of September for the holiday weekend. Which is good because I will be there that Monday

Does anyone know what they do for the parade packages for people who don't eat meat?
:)

I've done the dessert party version last year. Of course straight in front of the castle is better view, but it was way better than the reserved seating at Small World in my eyes.

It's very blurry unfortunately, but it's the only picture I have. Should be enough for an idea hopefully. They did remove the heating thing before the show started.

Was that Plaza? Someone posted a video earlier and the people literally could not see anything.

Yes, that was Plaza. From 10/28, so one of the last shows of the season. Maybe they had figured things out better by then.

I imagine the view would be highly dependent on what table you get. Sounds like it’s first come, first serve?

They told people for Halloween Screams that it was predetermined before checking in, but maybe it was different for the Christmas show.

They do something similar for the Fantasmic dining package at River Belle Terrace, saying it is dependent on when you booked but I think that isn't always the case (we booked as close as possible to 3am 60 days out, were one of the first to check-in and be seated, but were still put in the second row while other tables sat empty until closer to 30 minutes after the check-in time, so other factors have to play in).

That is a really good view and looks like one of the better tables. I'd be curious on the experience of the people seated in the tables in front of you if they had a poor view like in the videos?

It was definitely not pretermined when I went, they let people pick and even said you could change your table if you were not happy. I changed twice before settling on this one, wasn't sure if they'd remove the heat lamp.

I imagine the more you go towards the Tomorrowland side the worse seating gets. This picture was from seating about 2 rows of tables in from the walkway. I decided to go with that because I wasn't sure if they'd remove the freaking lamp. lol Unfortunately I can't recall how far towards Tomorrowland the tables were set up.

I wasn't there ridiculously early. They had staggered arrival times it seemed, and my time was about half an hour after seating started.

It could have been way worse for me personally. I was pleasantly surprised. I will admit that I did decide to risk it because I love the Halloween fireworks but was a little worried about the crowd as I was going on a DCL cruise only a few days later and that seemed like a good option to see my fireworks while risking the exposure to potential germs. ;)
