OOGIE BOOGIE BASH & DESSERT PARTY REVIEWS****SPOILERS

Looks good! Can't wait for tomorrow night...I will be more than ready for that seat come 10:00! Could not believe the bag of candy one family brought back on the trolley last night...was one of the 70th shopping totes and it was 3/4 full! Gonna need an extra suitcase just for their candy😂

We did this last month! It "only" took up half of a suitcase, thankfully we were prepared. Unfortunately my husband keeps eating it even though we plan to hand it out to trick or treaters so I may still need to go buy more.

So, we just hit back from our OBB. We had great fun. But after doing it twice we agreed that we don’t need to do it again unless more entertainment is being added. We are not interested in taking pictures with characters, but do enjoy the trick & treat trails with the villain performer.

We didn’t wait for anything a long time. Right at 6 pm a few trails too a while to walk through, but you are constantly moving, so we didn’t mind. During the party attraction lined were generally short. We did Guardians with 10 minutes wait, the two little cars land attractions with no wait and at the very end walked on Toy Story. Lines between 3 and 6 pm were very long!!

We picked up the DVC tote (one per membership). It’s actually a reusable shopping bag. Quite nice. You also got candy and a large rice crispie treat for each person.

I did the dessert party last night. I felt like it was painfully long to wait for the parade to start. It was nearly an hour from when we were seated. That said, I would potentially do it again because I've been to the party enough times to not care if I miss a lot of stuff. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who wants to do lots of rides or meet lots of characters because it's a time suck. I was fortunate to have a front row seat and a couple of the villains in the parade interacted with me which was fun

Do you have to check in so early? What if you waited closer to the parade time?

You check in on your phone and then they text you when your table is ready. You can show up whenever. I assume they want you to check in early so they can arrange their seating plan. And you'll want to be there in enough time to get your food and drinks in plenty of time to enjoy BEFORE parade cause they sure don't let you linger once it's over.

My review to come later....

Sounds good, we are doing the 10 pm one so I think I will plan to arrive 30 to 45 mins before. I suppose it also depends on where you are sitting in relation to when the parade starts...

Ok...this will be short and sweet...OBB as a whole was one-and-done for me, didn't care for the vibe as a whole. I went primarily to see the Headless Horseman but when i found out Cheshire Cat would be there, that sealed the deal. ( see below)

First of all, it was SO HOT...Hades was right at home. Didn't become tolerable until about 8. I did a few trails, saw Judge Doom, Hades, LOVED Ernesto, he saw so funny with the Spanish speaking hecklers. He called me pequeno gato because of my Chessie on my shoulder. Saw Agatha of course, she wasn't getting a lot of love from crowd, I don't think enough people watched the show. Also very one dimensional, just kept singing Witches Road.

I rode a few rides, Webslingers mostly. Did a few photos. By the time it came time for parade, I was grateful for a comfy place to sit. I was right in front of Wine Country front row. Oddly enough, I had the same server (lovely Betty) as I had for the WOC DP in June. She quickly supplied me with two big glasses of ice for my Sprite.

I won't talk about the dessert box as mine was all custom, and I only ended up eating the macaron so it was the best $94 macaron I have ever had. I had two lovely warm folks from Wash DC area sitting at my table and they were wonderful company. This trip was so serendipitous in that way...nice folks everywhere.

The parade was short IMHO but cute enough. We got a lot of character interaction where we were sitting, Queen of Hearts wanted my head after I waved at her.

I managed to fill a treat bag almost full, which I gave to the staff at Candy Cane and they thought that was pretty cool.

Saw a lot of AMAZING costumes...Meg, Jafar, some guy I didnt know but clearly it was an awesome costume with lots of detail, and a spot on Constance Hatchaway.

I am glad I went so I had the experience but I don't need to do it again. I'm a christmas girl through and through.

WEIRD NOTE: while walking all around the park, I keep seeing security guys popping up. Like everywhere . Now, you don't normally see that, at least not at any of the other events I have been to. I was kinda getting freaked out by it given the state of things these days but I figured I should MMOB and if I asked they probably wouldn't tell me anyway. I mentioned it to a couple of ladies on the shuttle going home and apparently there had been some fight where a drunk guy smacked a security guard. With his child in tow as well, wife off somewhere else. Halloween vibes, sez I.

NOW...on to CHRISTMAS!

We have had a very hot summer. It has really impacted how people (both out of town guests as well as locals) visit the parks.

Yes, there have been a lot of uniformed security around.
