Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party 2024

Last year, we had 4 tickets. My older DD could not get away from college, so we took my niece in her place (and also took younger DD, as planned). My niece has the same last name as we do, but ultimately it didn’t matter as they don’t check ID to match to the name on the party tickets. Not sure if it would have mattered if the person on the ticket was a different gender than the person using the ticket, as both were girls in our case.

Fingers crossed we have two possible dates 2/3 nights of the event… I’m nervous but can only hope for the best!

lol waiting room only open for 15minutes prior; like that's not going to cause problems a ton of folk requesting a token from the server.

Really, why cause a stress on the server and program needlessly? Disney IT never fails to surprise.

I don’t understand why they don’t at least break up the sales—Aug/Sept dates one week, and Oct dates the next. That alone would probably help.

That makes sense. But Disney is all about showing how high the demand is! So they can add more dates and raise prices!!

I don't think they raise prices within the same year though. Year to year, sure. The prices have gradually increased with gate prices too, usually near the peak tier pricing.

Ugh, my son's school hasn't released the schedule for holidays and days off yet. So it looks like there is only ONE day I can go for :( and probably not the best day since it is Halloween week, smh. I know they have other days off the beginning of the year, but they just have not released them yet. Fun time. Will hope for the best, if it isnt meant to be for this year, will try again next year. Good luck everyone!

And I thought we were late not getting out school calendar till March this year! Do you know when you start?!? I would not be happy

Must not be Disney fans on the school admin.

On a FB group, someone mentioned that in the past, Disa Visa cardholders got early access to tickets. I looked on the Disney Visa site but didn't see any info on this. Does anyone have any info on if this is likely?

It’s very confusing why they haven’t raised the tix prices to reflect the very high demand.

Will file that under one of the ways DL is decidedly different, as WDWs just keep climbing every year.

Not that I want to pay more for tix mind you, whatever the price, it’s worked into overall travel budget and we cut back somewhere else.

Yeah, we start early this year, but they always toss in random school holidays or teacher inservice days that sort of thing (normally a Friday or Monday). We have the major dates, just not the little one-off days. I wish they would just post them all, I am sure they know at least the ones through the end of this year. Super annoying for sure, since I am a planner (like most of us here I am sure!). :)

If this truly is random and not a wait in line, have people “register” for ticket sales the week before with it being open for four or five days. Then shut it and do your magic method of picking. Then send emails out to the lucky winners with a 30 minute period they can click a link and purchase tickets.

Anyway, I’m glad they don’t check names. As a single person I never know who (or if anyone) I’m going to go with until a few weeks before the date. So I just purchase 2 or 4 tickets depending if I think I’m just going with a friend or a small group and just put my name on all them.

I do recall them adjusting the token system so now even if you have multiple browsers open they’ll only count as one token. I wonder if that will help the sales run a little more smoothly…

I do think they need to bump prices +$50 or something. I don’t remember any of this chaos pre-pandemic, tickets so fast, but you would often see some remaining at the end of the first day or maybe even a couple days later.

It maybe less this time around. MKs remained open this year for quite awhile - 3 months? compared to the initial onslaughts.

OBB maybe the same. Who knows. -- D23 sold out FAST this year. That's a new one.
