Ontario March Break 2008 busy?

Sounds like both the week before March break and after are going to be really busy. Sounds like many of us have the same idea to take an additional week whether its before or after, we're still deciding.

Think we might cross our fingers that the weather is as good as this year and spend a few nights at Hilton Head on the way home - recover from all the madness! Now, we just need to find out what the Florida schools are doing, hopefully not the same week as Ontario.

I am so envious of those that are able to take their trip at April next year or other months like May, November. This is one of the downfalls of working for the school board - having to take vacation at the most crowded times of year. I'm already pushing my luck asking for the week prior to March break as well, in hopes we can get some less crowded time in before the mob hits. There's no way I could get 2 full weeks off in April as much as I'd rather prefer.

Oh well, it's better than not going!!

Our school district (Nova Scotia) is combining March break with Easter. The break will be March 17-20 and Good Friday is March 21. That is going to make it difficult because it will be so busy that week. I don't know if we can do April next year--it may have to be March break. I will really have to rethink things.

Which board are you with? I work for a board in NS and our board isn't combining. Our March Break is March 10-14.

Thanks RainbowsMist! The info I had was for the Cape Breton board and it was a draft copy. Hopefully, this has been revised! Maybe now we will go for two weeks, even if it is busy!
