Would u stay onsite for one night for early entry on a weekday in may or just pay for the fotl pass. We are dvc members.

If you stay onsite it will give you 2 days of unlimited express pass and early entry. If you buy the express pass its for one day, cost per person, one time per ride.

Either way Express is not accepted at,

Universal Studios Florida
Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit®

Universal's Islands of Adventure
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™
Pteranodon Flyers®

Well i was not going to stay onssite but at one of the partner hotels just for early entry. I dont think the express passe are included. So im trying to go mainly for hp. Would i get more done with one hour early entry or express pass. Also i keep seeing people say that they get in early with dreams unlimited ticket

Early Entry gets you into WWOHP an hour before the masses descend, LOL. This is very valuable.

FOTL works on Flight of the Hippogriff and Dragon Challenge, which is good, but it does NOT work on Forbidden Journey, which is kinda the BIG ride in that area.

We went for Harry Potter, and fell in love with the whole place, so we were VERY happy that we were onsite and had the super-duper express passes for almost all the rides in both parks.

But just being in the HP area an hour before most people were there was very valuable!

If you are staying at one of the partner hotels, you have to have a package that includes the early entry. That means your hotel and tickets need to be purchased together in the Harry Potter Package or the Getaway Package. I haven't heard of people getting in early with the dreams unlimited ticket.

I was corrected on a thread because people were claiming they got early entry with the DU tickets/transfer deal after I stated it was only available onsite. I still can't believe but until someone calls to verify I guess we won't know and I can't believe they are no advertising this perk.

I think they just got lucky and managed to get through the gates without showing their room-key or proof of package.

Well i called universal today and i can get a room at the econolodge for fifty five dollars for one night. I am just woindering if the hassle of finding a way to the econolodge then to the park and back then back to animal kingdom is worth one hour or just getting the dreams unlimited package and leaving kidani and making it there for park entry for regular guests and buring fotl access is a better route. It will be me, dh, ds 4, dd 2 and ds 10 months so the logistics is hard enough with just getting there alone:confused3

Honestly, in May I wouldn't bother doing anything special. It is a slow time and lines should be very reasonable.

I agree with the above poster, its probably going to be manageable in May but at least wait til you get there and see if you will need express. Do HP first, of course, and then see if you will need express and purchase in the park. Also, if possible, go early in the week because more end of year field trips occur later in the week and with Harry it could mean a lot more kids this year.

Thanks u guys. Thats what i was thinking since the express pass for that day is only 25

We will be there at the end of Labor day weekend, the Fri, Sat Sun following labor day. We booked onsite and I'm so excited! I didn't realize that they would give HP access to non hotel guests. The hotel cost a bundle but we only have 7 days 6 nights at the time share so we had to stay somewhere till Sunday lol. I can't wait.

I'm confused. If you are staying onsite, then you are hotel guests.

The only non-onsite hotel guests that get early access are package holders. They don't seem to make up a big portion of the early entry guests. These packages are available through the universalorlando.com website.

Just wondering if need to get onsite room to get express passes for this timeframe... Busy?... Also, we have 4 adults 2 children. Room max 5. Youngest is 5. When I called one of hotels they said her name could be added onto mine since she would be with me at all times...? Any help? We weren't planning on sleeping, just getting for express passes...

Check the prices of of express passes and the price of a room. Since you have 4 adults, you will have to add $50 on to the price of a room.

Staying onsite gives you unlimited express passes. Purchased express passes only let you ride once per ride.
