Onsite questions

If we were to stay insure at paradise pier (cost), how would we take advantage of extras at the other hotels, specifically pools? For example, do we have to walk to Disneyland Hotel to use their pool? When we get there is their a place to change/leave our clothes???

I don't believe the Disneyland Resort Hotels allow pool hopping - unless the pool at the hotel you are staying at is closed for reburishment.

When staying onsite at Disneyland, they usually do not allow you to pool hop (ie: use a different onsite hotels pool). The only instance of allowing it that I am aware of is if the pool at your hotel is not available to use, then you can use the other hotels pools. When Paradise Pier's pooldeck was under construction this past winter/spring, they were allowing guests to use Disneyland and Grand Californian pools. Other than those types of instances, I am pretty sure they don't allow it.

So what would you recommend pool wise. DLH looks gorgeous but wondering if worth the money. I have a just turned 4 year old and a 6 year old. They love water slides but could they even use DLH or no because not good enough swimmers??

The DLH slides go into maybe 6 inches of water? At most a foot-so most people can use them.

The DLH has two water slides. One for very young kids and one for anyone! Your children will be fine in the smaller slide, and when comfortable, can use the bigger slide!
