Hello Disboards fam!

Just seeing if anyone has any ideas or experience they can share. We are annual passholders, will be staying 21 days, 10 of which are offsite at an Airbnb property. I'm trying to figure out how to maximize days in the park while staying offsite. I have all days onsite (DVC) with park reservations (april 1+). I understand we get only 3 park reservations at a time for our offsite time (march 20+), and we want to prioritize weekends. We would like to go to the parks at night after work/remote school during the week. Looking at the availability calendar, it appears that they are booked through next weekend March 20 and 21. We have our reservations for next weekend + Monday). But am worried about the following weekend booking up (March 27 & 28) by the time we use our first reservation on the 21st. In other words, it seems there is no availability 8 days out from any given point of time, which means as I use reservations, i'm stuck booking the next day 8 or 9 days into the future. Im considering cancelling Monday the 22nd and grabbing the that following Saturday 27th now before it gets booked giving up on that weekday trip on the 22nd.

My question is as follows: For those staying offsite, how often do new reservations pop up for the time period inside of 7 or 8 days? Does it stay gray the whole time? I could focus on booking weekends and just keep checking during the week for a reservation to open up and grab it.

Any thoughts or experiences / strategies to share?

Thanks Disboards, always a go-to resource !!!

DH and I, AP holders, were offsite 2/28-3/7. I booked M-W park passes at home, of course, then M night booked our 4th park for Thursday. But based on how reservations for the following week were filling up, on Tuesday night we booked Sunday, because we had an important ADR in Epcot that morning. Sure enough, by Wednesday I think both Saturday and Sunday had no availability at any park for APs, and we had to cancel our ADR for Saturday. AK did reopen either Friday afternoon or Saturday morning for Saturday, but Sunday stayed grayed out.

So, things can open back up, but if you have any in-park ADRs or other date-based activities, I’d book those as your 3 to make sure you don’t get blocked out and have to cancel those plans.
