hi wondered if anyone had been in October to Universal in recent years. We havent been since I took my elder two children 5 years ago and now the younger ones are at an age where they would enjoy it. Daughter of 9 is desperate to see Harry Potter land.
We always stay at disney - DVC - but wondered if worth it to have onsite hotel for FOL access or whether not needed in October?

Any thoughts
Lynne

We always stay onsite. We are DVC members as well but always have to spend a few days at Universal. All the resorts are so nice. Staying onsite in June we got into the park a hour before opening to see the WWoHP. I think that in itself is worth staying onsite. Our kids really enjoy the pool at the RPR.
Our wait to ride FJ was not long thanks to that.

be careful in october as it is halloween horror nights. hotels are generally pretty busy and sell out

I think it is pretty much sold out for the first half already.

I've stayed at the Hard Rock in October with my son. We were there specifically for HHN.

I think it is pretty much sold out for the first half already.

They still have rooms at the RPR the first weekend of Oct. I was checking rates for a friend that is going with me then.

Am going to go with one night in October - its the first week so thats fine - will make a nice change from Disney
