Off to DLP on Wednesday till Friday! Yay!

We're going on Eurostar and staying in the Hotel New York.

Just seen the post from Jillrobinson that the parc is going to be open late on Thrusday - fabby!!!

My quick questions are:

Are you allowed to take food from home into the parc/hotels? I'm thinking of sticking a few cans of coke and snacks in our suitcases.

We're only taking £300 (in euros, think it was about 450E), as we're a bit broke! Will that be enough????????? Doesn't include souveniers as the kids are taking their own money for that.

Whats the food like on Eurostar? We're going Leisure Select.

Any other top tips?

Suzie x

Yes you can take food into the hotels but not into the parks. There is a security check at the entrance an you have to open all your bags.

My top tip for you: Enjoy yourself and don't forget to take pictures and to share them with us! :cool1: :thumbsup2

Oh really, they do security check?! Wow!

So you can't even take a drink and snack in with you?

I'll be sure to take loads of pics!

I was hoping to be able to take a few snacks in, didn't realise they check your bags!

Are you not even allowed to take bottled water in?

If you do pop a couple bananas and a bottle of water in does if get taken away?

you can take bottled water in..and to be honest I have seen LOADS of people eating there own food in the parks. though offically you are not allowed to take you own food or drinks other than water.

I don't think the secuitry checks are that bothed if you take food in.

You can take as much as you like food wise.

Although they say you can't, you can easily get away with it.

The security check is only for knifes /weapons etc.

I've seen families eating a picnic sitting on the tables and chairs destined for the outside use of toad hall.

Just adding that I always take drinks & snacks in, and they've never bothered me. :goodvibes

We took plenty of drinks in when we went, and choccy bars and biscuits and stuff. They do check your bags, but its a security thing, not a "confiscate all foodstuffs" thing really.

Yes it is true that many people take water and food into the parks. But I have seen several times CM's who ask the people picnicking in the park to leave for the picnic area outside the park.
And I would drink enough in the hotel and use the free water dispenser in the parks. Keep in mind that you will walk the whole day! At the end of the day that will be many miles! And you have to carry everything with you. And after 9h in the park you will hate your rucksack and the water bottles in it! :lmao:
We always have a good breakfast and then eat again in the evening in the hotelrestaurant. So there is nothing to take with us for the whole day! :smooth:

We've never had a problem taking snacks in I usually carry some breakfast bars, fruit or Mars Bars and last time one morning I took some muffins I'd picked up at the Character Breakfast ( I hasten to add that nobody was hungry at breakfast time, I don't normally pinch food from the breakfast table, well actually I did take some bread rolls to feed the ducks one morning as well, but that doesn't really count) - never had a problem.

March was the first time I've been through security checks and in all honesty they're laughable. It's a case of opening your bag, I never had to remove any of the contents and I think it was my sister who remarked last time I could've had a bomb in the bottom of it and it would've gone unnoticed.

Maybe they're more careful with say men of a certain age (no offence Marcus) than a harassed looking mum, who's obviously ended up having to fit everyone elses hat, scarf, gloves, camera, cuddly toy and whatever else they couldn't bare to leave at the hotel into her one already bulging little bag. :teeth:

Have a wonderul trip :wizard:

The food on Leisure Select on the Eurostar is lovely :goodvibes

No it is not allowed! Look what I just found on the official website:
www.disneylandparis.com

Is it possible to picnic in the Parks?
Food and beverages are not allowed in the Disney Parks. A picnic area is available between the Guest Parking and the entrances to the Parks.
