Hey folks, we're back! Actually got back yesterday evening.
Yup, obviously we went down to FL as planned although the flight was bumpy enough at take off from Laguardia that it made me gasp and clutch the pearls. I hate that. It was otherwise uneventful and we arrived in Orlando safe and sound.
Halloween Horror Nights was AWESOME! Our good friend Wendy and her son picked us up at the airport, took us right to the Royal Pacific, checked in, room was ready. Beatiful place! Went right to Universal Studios and wandered, checked out a couple of attractions and then it was
HHN time.
Have to say that if you love horror movies or haunted houses, Halloween Horror Nights is a must-do. Both Joe and I loved every minute!
We did have dinner with Mike and his Joe. NO, we did not go to Disney. In fact, Mike tried to lure us with free admission but we politely said no thanks. Wanted to keep away from Disney this trip. Instead, Mike took us to a place called Texas de Brazil-something or other. Excellent food, great atmosphere, smokin' hot waiters in gouchos. And yep, we ate more than our share of cow, pig and chicken. Good stuff!
Spent the rest of our time at US and IOA, strolled City Walk. Did everything we wanted more than once without any wait at all. Parks were slow with about 20 minute waits at most, a couple with 30 minutes but that was rare. But because of the front of line access due to staying at their resort, we just strolled right on and never waited. Awesome!
And the coups de grace? Got myself another tattoo, this one on the outside of my left calf. Pretty large one too. LOVE IT! And before you ask, the tat is of Jason's bloody mask from the Friday the 13th movies. I am now considering adding to it with a couple of my other favorite contemporary horror movie icons, i.e. Michael Myers mask, Freddy's bloody glove. We'll see how I feel after this one completely heals and I get used to it. The folks at Hart & Huntington in City Walk, particularly JC who did the hands-on work, did a fantastic job!
Now back to reality!
