If you only had 2 days at Disney World with a 5 and 9 year old girls what would you do? We are going on a Disney Cruise on October 3rd and are flying in the Wednesday before and getting on the ship on Saturday. I was thinking a character meal on Wednesday evening in one of the resorts (our plane lands at 4:50 pm). Thursday I am pretty sure I want to do the Halloween party. As for the rest I have no idea. We have been to Disneyland many times but never to Disney World. I would love some suggestions about which parks we should go too and also must have places to eat for our very short trip.

TIA!

For Wednesday, I think your plan to do a meal at a resort is best. I would suggest 1900 Park Faire at the Grand Floridian, which is a character meal, or O'Hana at the Polynesian, which isn't a character meal.

For Thursday, you have two options. Your Halloween Party ticket allows you entry into the Magic Kingdom at 4:00 PM, so you can visit another resort for breakfast and then head to the MK, or you can buy a park ticket and go to the Halloween Party a little later. Personally, I would plan a breakfast at a resort and then enter the MK at 4:00. 1900 Park Faire would be a nice breakfast option, as well as O'Hana. Both of these are character meals for breakfast. Cape May Cafe is a character breakfast I would also consider.

Wednesday: If it were me, I would have a regular dinner at my resort and maybe enjoy the pool for the arrival night. I only say this because what happens if your plane is delayed or something and you have a reservation made for a character meal and miss it?

Thursday: I would then have a character breakfast at O'Hana or 1900 Park Faire and then spend time at Downtown Disney (if you do not want to spend all day plus all night in the Magic Kingdom with the MNSSHP). Then head to Magic Kingdom when they let you in at 4:00pm with your party tickets. If you do want more time in the park, I would have a character breakfast at Crystal Palace or Cinderella's Royal Table and enjoy the park all day and stay for the party.

Friday: If you want to spend time in a park, I would suggest Animal Kingdom or EPCOT. There are plenty of attractions and entertainment at both of those parks for your girls to enjoy them. If you want another character meal, EPCOT has Akershus and Garden Grill. Animal Kingdom has Tusker House. If you do not want to spend time at a park, maybe try out the mini golf (Fantasia Gardens and Winter Summerland), Downtown Disney if you did not go before, or one of the water parks would also be fun. You could also try one of their dinner shows (Mickey's BBQ, Spirit of Aloha, Hoop-De-Do).
