Only three days in Disney

How do I split my time? Was originally thinking 2 in MK and 1 in Epcot? Going with mom and my daughter for her 8th (surprise) birthday.

So you aren't hopping then? 3 days is fine for Disney. Depending on what your mom and daughter like to do, I'd say EP, MK and AK you all are not riders. If you are, swap AK for HS, especially if daughter likes Frozen? If you were hopping, Id say most of a day at MK, EP is like two parks, and then split a morning in AK and night in HS. You can see a lot of Disney in 3 days. Not sure why two MK days are required. But its your trip! Have fun!

Have you considered Animal Kingdom? There are some really interesting shows and there are things for an eight year old to do and see. The problem, of course, is the park closes early.

Thanks! It's been so long I figured that we needed 2 days just at MK. We are going to skip AK. Was hoping to save some $ and not hop, but sounds like it might be good to have the option.

When are you going? If it's a less crowded time of year you may not need 2 days at MK. Then again I always say you can't have too much MK time!

I really like your plan of 2 days MK and 1 day EP. If I was taking a 3-day trip, that's exactly what I would do.

Doable, but I would get the park hopper option.

It all depends on what your ultimate goal of how much you want to get done is. I would do exactly that 2 MK 1 EP day without Hoppers do RD with mid afternoon breaks then head back for night time entrainment. I would skip the hoppers unless you REALLY want to cram as much as you can in, however unless you plan on staying out all day in the afternoon heat it wouldn't be worth it. IMO.

We could never come to Orlando and skip HS. Ever. It's the one park of all the parks in all of Central Florida that we just can't miss...

Sounds fun! No one should tell you how to spend your vacation days. If you find yourself completing everything at MK after the first day you may want to consider one of the other parks, but it isn't necessary!

For a short trip I suggest looking at what you can skip. Planning that out in advance will keep you from spending limited time and energy on things with little value for you. And skip means skip - even if it's a walk on, cause if that's a walk on chances are something not on the skip list is also a walk on!

So unless your daughter is into foreign countries (at least the ones that Dizney made up) I would suggest doing AK or even HS instead of Epcot. And believe me I am an Epcot fan.

My last trip over Easter Week 2015 I only had 3 day park hoppers. Below is what I did. I feel like I hit all the headliners, some of the less popular rides and nighttime shows.

day 1 - rope dropped MK, stayed until after lunch, mid day break, MK for dinner, rides, fireworks & parade

day 2 - Epcot mid morning thru afternoon, DHS for dinner and Fantasmic

day 2 - rope dropped Animal Kingdom, after lunch went to DHS for rides, Epcot for Illuminations

My sister and I are doing HS day 1, Mk day 2 and Ak/Epcot day three. We'll probably hop someplace after we are done with HS but not sure to which park yet. We've got 20 days to go!!Woohoo!!

That is tough. If I were taking my kids to Disney for 3 days, then we would do MK, Ep, and AK one day each.

DH and I are going for 2.5 days, and we are doing MK, Ep, and HS. We are only going to HS for ToT and RnR, though, since it is close to Epcot.
