Just got back yesterday, had a great trip. The ship was magnificent, food was excellent, Castaway Cay was perfect. Did Comforst Suites at Atlantis, would recommend this, it is a marvelous resort with great water slides and beautiful pools. We were promised a $50 first time cruiser credit from DCL (I even called two days before we left to make sure it would be there). To make a long story short, it was not there when we arrived, so I called guest services and they told me it would only be $25. At this point, I didn't care as we were so happy to be there, but I wanted to warn the rest of you who are expecting the $50. Anyway, the trip was great! -Sue

I'm assuming you cruised on the Wonder (right?). Perhaps the credit was reduced because your cruise was shorter? Did Guest Services offer any explanation to why your credit was less than expected?

I was wondering about this myself, if one would receive the same credit for cruising on either the Wonder or the Magic. Has anyone out there actually received the full $50 credit, and which ship were you on?

It probably was because we were only on the 4 day Wonder. However, both times that I called DCL direct to verify that it was a $50 credit, they knew that I was only on the 4 day cruise. They checked my ressie twice to confirm the credit, and guaranteed it to be there. I hate to sound like I am complaining, I am pleased with the $25 credit, believe me. I am just saying that even though I confirmed it twice, DCL and guest services on the ship obviously have different guidelines, and that does not seem right.

I know it is too late now, but we had a problem with our credit on our cruise also. Our CC credit was less than it was supposed to be, and guest services told me it was because we were on the 4 day cruise. I called CC from the ship and had the amount verified, then they contacted guest services and staightened it out. It still took about 4 trips to guest services to get it fixed, but I wasn't going to give up! The bottom line is that the people at guest services really didn't know what they were talking about. This happened with a couple of other questions that I had for them and I knew they were giving me incorrect info. They were always very friendly and polite, just wrong in their info!

Good for you for seeing it through until it was straightened out. I guess that I didn't have the energy at the time, and had a feeling that I would feel more aggravated after taking more time to "fix" it after I already made two phone calls to insure that it would not happen in the first place. Anyway, the cruise was great, and I will still pleased with the $25. -Sue
