We will be in Orlando as a side trip and want to go to IOA.....particularly Harry Potter.... On Memorial Day weekend. Super busy time, I'm sure, but I'm still excited and want to make the most of what little time we will have. I'm thinking we will stay at one of three on site hotels on Saturday night to take advantage of the early entrance and FOTL perk, and just do IOA on Sunday.

*Only having one night - which of three would you recommend?
*Favorite restaurant at the park or hotels?
*Can you recommend which attractions to see first? I know we will hit HP first, for sure.
*When we check out on Saturday, we will want to stay somewhere outside of the park Sunday night since we will just be driving home all day Monday. Recommendations for a good place with two queens?

Thank you do much!

If Wizarding World is a priority, staying at either RPR or HRH would put you closest. Both are great. My favourite restaurant is Mythos at IOA. On the main board there is a sticky with all the resort menus. When you do early admission, do Ollivander's first followed by Forbidden Journey. Then you can do the shops and since Express can be used on Flight of the Hippogriff and Dragon Challenge, you can do those anytime.

Check out the Doubletree, Holiday Inn Closest to Universal and Hyatt Place.

since memorial weekend is a busy time, check and see if there are any available rooms for a one night stay on that saturday.
they will probably be pricey as the weekend rate runs higher than weekdays.

for offsite after you leave the darkside, there have been numerous threads where peeps have posted talk about offsite hotels near UO.
if you do a search for them, you can review others' opinions about those hotels.
