For add-on-itis and that is to add on! I played with some numbers and figured I could pull off the new car in January and the add on at SSR. So, I decided to jump at the 130 points and placed my deposit today. :teeth:

Unfortunately I think you are right :earseek:

Congratulations on your new contract!

Yea!!!! Congratulations!!!!

Although...I hate to tell you this...but, you really ARE just treating the "symptom" and not the cure.....you, will almost certainly have a re-currence of this disease as soon has you have a spare dollar to your name!!!!;)

Have fun with all your new points!!!

Well, they say admitting you have a problem is the first step...

(Congrats, LeftCoaster!)

I'm another Californian DVC member and I'm suffering too. We've only got a few more days to get our special Calif only rate and I've talked to my Guide twice already.

Guess it's time to call him back tomorrow before the window of opportunity closes.

Congrats!!!!!

Talk to my guide on monday and did the 130pt add-on.Have a 9:30 meeting to finish the paper work on tuesday.:teeth:

I am also guilty of feeding my add-on-itis. The financial incentives weren't as good as they were for you Left-Coasters (well at least Californians), but the free APs they offered us were incentive enough to pounce on it. And while we were on the phone we added some more BWV that they had lying around. That '93 Mazda we're driving still has less than 100,000 miles on it and should be fine for another 5 years.

With the two AP's, it brought the cost down to about $73 per point. Once I figured that I could pull both off, I just had to do it. And umm, all the other cool kids are doing it too!. hahaha.

It's tough being a Californian right now :teeth:

I'm sitting here thinking about it...I've already talked to my guide and crunched the numbers...yes, it's completely do-able! Do I NEED another 130 points, NO...but how can I pass up this deal. Must decide by tomorrow morning!!!

How can I not take such a great offer? Don't I deserve those extra points? And it was so nice having two weeks at the Boardwalk this year, using banked/borrowed points...I want to do that every year...

And the two annual passes certainly wouldn't hurt any?

$73 per point? How can I afford NOT to take it.

It's still over $10,000...plus an extra $500 or so each year for maintenance fees....

What to do...what to do...what to do...

Once I figured I could swing it, the thing I kept going back to was the fact that the cost of points will not be going down. And since I DID want to add on at some point at least, might as well do it now.

Side note: Good to see someone from Sac. My parents retired to Sun City in Roseville.
