If you only had one day to visit any or all of the wdw parks how would you spend your day from morning to night including rides, meals, parades etc?

I would also like to know this. I am going to be spending the day at MK with 5 adults and 6 children (ages 4-10). Thanks

First, we'd definitely spend our day at the MK. We'd get there before park opening and do the CP character breakfast, ensuring great photo ops with the characters. My kids are older, so we'd hit the major headliners next (Splash, Thunder, HM, POC, Space, Buzz, Mickey's Philharmagic, etc.). If I had younger children, I'd start with all of Fantasyland. Even with older children, we enjoy many of these rides! We'd probably take an afternoon parade/Dole Whip break, as we'd be stuffed from breakfast. After break, we'd continue touring until it was time to stake out a Spectromagic viewing spot. We'd probably grab some dogs from Casey's (wouldn't want to waste precious park time at another long sit down) and enjoy people watching until the parade started. Between Spectro and Wishes, we'd hit any rides we missed (or wanted to ride again) or maybe browse some of the main street shops. We'd definitely conclude the evening with Wishes, a monorail ride, and a good CRY!!!

I was recently in Orlando for a conference and only had one afternoon to visit the parks. Here is what I chose to do...

NOTE: I had one day left on an old park hopper & I've also been to WDW 5 times in the last 5 years, so this trip was strictly about hitting all my favorites. This was September 1st, 2004 crowds were low.

1st stop: Magic Kingdom. Aprox 1:30 p.m. I headed straight for Tomorrowland. Rode Buzz & Space Mountain. Walked through Fantasyland quick stop at Mickey's Philharmagic. Then into Liberty Squeare, rode Haunted Mansion. Grabbed a sandwich at Columbia Harbour House. Sat on a bench in Frontierland and enjoyed my sandwich.

2nd stop: Epcot. Aprox 3:30. Time to move on, so I jumped on the monorail and rode to Epcot. Headed straight for Mission: Space. Test Track was down, headed thru ice sation cool for drink samples. Rode Spaceship Earth. Walked over to the Land, wait was 45 minutes...too long for this quick trip. Strolled over to the World Showcase and around to International Gateway. Took a Friendship to MGM.

3rd stop: Disney MGM Studios. Aprox. 6:00 p.m. Went straight to TOT, then to RNRC. Took a liesurly stroll back to the front gate. No Friendship there, so I walked back to the Int'l Gateway via the Boardwalk. By this point it is around 7:30 p.m.

4th stop: Epcot (again). Time to reward myself with a beer. I ordered a Bass at the Yorkshire County Fish House and continued my counter-clockwise stroll around the World Showcase. In Morocco I ordered a sampler platter & dessert (in to-go containers). Then I continued strolling through countries until Illuminations began. I found a nice seat and watched the show. Then back to my hotel room where I relaxed & gobbled down my Moroccan dinner.

Sure, I did a TON of walking, but it was nice to see all my favorites in one day.

Thanks for the post...I don't mind the walking and plan to do some power walking in a wild attempt to see as much as possible in a very short time. I am sure it will just give me a enough to hold me over until we can come back. We use to go every year with my daughter, but she is in college now. I am guessing my hubby and I will spend a lot of time reminiscing of old visits when our daughter was little. We leave in 2 days, I better go pack! Thanks again!

My 8 yo dd joked that the two of us are going to do a one-day commando of our favorites some day, just the two of us. We might do something like this:

Get the earliest PS at MK, either CRT or CP so we can be in the park before opening. After eating, get fast pass to space mountain and head back toward spalsh mountain. Ride that one if there isn't too long of a wait, hit maybe Peter Pan's flight and Haunted Mansion, and PhilharMagic for sure. Catch Space Mountain on the way out.

Next we could monorail it over to Epcot, get fast pass for test track and then ride Spaceship Earth. We'd definitely spend some time watching the musical fountain. Depending on time, we might watch Honey I shrunk the Audience. Then we'd hit Test Track. We'd then move toward WS and ride Maelstorm and see as many of the shows as we could (Statues, Candy making, etc.). We'd look for Jasmine/Aladdin in Moracco and Belle/Beast in France.

Then we'd take the boat to MGM and hit TOT and RnR. I'd check the time and by using fast pass, try to get a second TOT ride. Although we love other shows at MGM, because of time we'd have to leave to hit one of the other evening shows. Maybe we could do Who wants to be a Millionaire or Little Mermaid if the times work out. We'd be grabbing snacks from stands to save time.

Here's where I'm not sure: We love Illuminations and Wishes. We'd have to see what time it was and then decide whether we get back to MK for casey's food on the curb and Wishes, or head to Epcot for snacks, a little shopping, maybe another show and Illuminations. If we knew we wanted Illuminations, I'd get a PS for dinner and Rose and Crown and try to eat lakeside watching the show...we love doing that!

We certainly would miss a lot of great stuff, but it would be fun to do once!!

We'd start off with a brief morning at MK, hitting BTMRR & SM. maybe lunch at Tony's, if not then over to Epcot for lunch at Norway. Spend the rest of the day around Epcot; dinner at either Le Cellier or, goodness - too many to choose from. I love the current Illuminations show - that's not to be missed.
