Well, I've never talked to a Canadian that didn't think they had good healthcare coverage, and I live in Canada. We certainly don't wait forever to see doctors and for surgery. If I wanted to see a doctor today, I simply phone my clinic and I can. My MIL needed valve replacement surgery, she was in within two weeks. My father needed skin cancer removed, it was done within two weeks. My neighbour brought her 4 year old daughter into her GP because she was feeling tired. The doctor took blood tests and my neighbour was telephoned, in the middle of the night, that same night to bring her child immediately down to the hospital. She was then transfered to Sick Kids Hospital where she is undergoing treatment for leukemia. Granted the system is not perfect, but it is pretty darned good!
