Only 615 Days and Counting!!! ***UPDATE 6-21*** complete! New PTR added

I'm here! And got all caught up :) I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your Disney movie nights! I told myself after seeing them before your last trip that I was going to have to do some for us before our May trip! Now, I just have to actually do it!

Frozen was sooooo cute! We also took our youngest (2.5) DD to see that movie as her first in the theater! It didn't start out great when my sister came walking back to the snack counter with a crying Harper in hand... all because of her loving big sister (almost 6). My sister said to me, "She was all good, then Addie said... 'Harper, hold my hand... this is going to be scary.'" Are you kidding me! It was already dark in there and previews going when we got there. Luckily, when I came walking back up the Steamboat Willie song was playing and that got Harper's attention and she wanted to go in. She ended up LOVING it! She sat so still and laughed loudly at the funny parts, it was adorable! So glad your Frozen experience was great too!

I'm great with moving the Dismeet convos over here too :) Maybe one of these days I can prove I'm a real person ;) Ha ha!

Can't wait to read more about your pre-trip adventures! You girls are inspiring me to do my own for our May trip :)

I'm here!
What Christmas festival did you go to? I have (/had before we got sick for a week) a goal of hitting ALLTHECHRISTMASTHINGS in STL. Lol not gonna happen anymore but I can add it to my list for next year!

It is Christmas in Kimmswick. It is always the weekend after Thanksgiving. it is supposed to be an old fashioned Christmas. There is a cookie walk, awesome shopping, random Santa sightings, crafts with mrs. Claus, and the Blue Owl stays open for dinner. If you have never eaten at the blue owl, you really need to! They have amazing desserts! It's lots if fun we go every year.

I am totally going to keep your list for next year! I love Christmas themed events! I went to the old St Charles thing last year, it was really fun! I loved the santas from around the world!

oh my gosh--I want to know what all the Christmas things are!! :santa: that sounds like an awesome thing to add to the bucket list. I just decided to add spending the night in Cinderella's castle. anyone know how to make that happen? :rotfl2:

Madison can't wait to get together again! she was telling Hannah all about getting to see Charlotte and play with Charlotte and Charlotte is her new friend and she was going to tell Charlotte merry Christmas.....I think she's obsessed with Charlotte! :rotfl: clearly, we'll have to be there Thursday morning! do you know where the mcdonald's is that I mentioned? it's on the south side of the street, a little past the mall. you go straight through the lights at Manchester and ballas, then the turn into the parking lot is right after the next set of lights. I can't remember the name of the street, but you'll see it. see you then!

Oh I would love a night in the castle suite , or even an hour! If you figure out a way to get I there I am coming in your suitcase! LOL!

Madison is so sweet! I love the things kids talk about! Charlotte is looking forward to playing agian too, so we will be there! I know right where that is!

Thank you! I love our movie nights! My DH wasn't totally on board at first but now he loves them they are a great family tradtion.

Don't you just love it when kiddos "help"? I am glad that Harper ended up living the movie. It really was great! I couldn't believe how it kept the attention of a two year old. Very cute!

I going to say it again, thou should totally write a PTR! I would love to hear about your planning!

Are you reading along on the "boo to you and the castle suite too" trip report? Search it. Very cool! They won a trip and got to stay a night in the castle!

I'm not reading that TR, but I'm gonna go find it right now! how lucky were those people?!?! I just can't imagine how absolutely awesome it would be to be IN THE CASTLE and IN THE PARK after it closes!

and the Christmas list looks so fun! I'm so writing it down for next year. we've done a couple (tilles park (I always want to do the carriage ride, but then remember "it's December!" and stay in the car!) and our lady) but I can't wait to try some more. that's what we should all do as a group sometime--Christmas at the zoo or something like that. someone with a better memory than me remember that for next year! :rotfl: I might have missed it, but what is the holiday magic?

It is Christmas in Kimmswick.
the Blue Owl stays open for dinner.

that sounds so fun! I've heard the blue owl is amazing. my father in law used to drive a bus for a retirement community and he took a group down there and still talks about how much he loved it!

if I figure out a way to get in that castle, i'll sneak you in too! you don't mind if it requires a side trip to Disney jail, right? :lmao: really though, wouldn't that be the ultimate night at Disney? I just can't imagine the awesomeness!

Jackie, I am having a dilemma....I really want to get together tomorrow morning, but Maddie's preschool teacher told us today that they are having a pajama party tomorrow and watching a movie, etc at school. Maddie is very excited and wants to go to that, but when I told her we were going to see Charlotte, she wanted to do that. when I left her at school, she was talking with the other kids about how excited she was to wear pj's to school tomorrow and seemed like she really wanted to do that. I don't know what to do....I want to see you guys, AND let maddie go to her pajama party. would it be awful if we rescheduled meeting up? if charlotte has her heart set on it, we will for sure be there. what do you think?

Whoops. Holiday magic is an event down at the america center downtown. My DH's company does all the decor for it so we got free tickets. It had like an indoor train that went around the giant room and carnival rides and food and Christmas activities and Santa. Really Caden was only big enough for the train and the carousel. But we rode the carousel like 3 times and he was in heaven. Lol. It would be much better for your kids ages. Caden was too little to really get much out of it. But tickets were free and we really went more to see Andrew's hard work :)

Oh Lori, don't worry about it! Maddie should go to her PJ party, that is only one day and McDonalds is there every day! No worries, we can plan for another day! Charlotte will be fine! We just got back from visiting friends anyway so we could use some time at home. Tell Maddie to go and we will plan for another day soon! Maybe then we could all go.

Yes next year we should totally do Christmas a the zoo for a meet up! I will try to remember it. ;)

I just started my PTR! A link is in my signature :)

i'm going to subscribe!

I googled this and its going on next year's holiday to do list for sure! I am going to save your list for sure!

I saw few more fun stl holiday things to do that you may want to look into next year. River City and Lamuire Place casinos both have a real baked gingerbread house you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner in. (kids can go too) Looks like lots of fun. Also the Ritz Carlton has a very expensive teddy bear tea which looks like fun, but its out of my price range this year :rotfl:

I know, I know, you are thinking you went from 588 days to 152? somehow that math just doesn't add up, and you would be correct but Santa was good to me this year, very good! :santa:

For Christmas this year, I asked DH for two of the new Disney Vera Bradley bags, the backpack and hipster in midnight Mickey. So, Christmas went as it usually does. Charlotte got her big gift from Santa and as a family we slowly opened each one of gifts under the tree. Soon there was only one left, and it was far too small to be a Vera Bradley bag. I opened it up and I was ready to put on a happy face to hide my disappointment. In the very small bag was two pieces of paper titled "A Christmas Story" The story went on tell about a husband who tried not to procrastinate but was still unable to get what his wife wanted most (by the time he was able to get on the computer the day the Vera Bradley bags went on sale the two I wanted were sold out). The end of the story was that Bob was going to take us all down to Disney for four nights to get my Vera Bradley Bags and of course spend a little time in the parks!!! Which is totally better than just geting the bags anyway. I am still in shock this is the best gift I have ever got...literally!

Our last trip was quite elaborate and this time around we will not have the funds to do a deluxe hotel with deluxe dining, but thats okay 'cause I am going to Disney World!!!!!! :yay::dance3::yay::woohoo::dance3::yay::woohoo::dance3:

So my PTR that was once about a trip in July of 2015 is now a PTR for my totally unexpected trip in May of 2014! Can you believe it? Because I can't!
My DH left many of the details up in the air so that I can have the fun of planning, and I wouldn't want it any other way!

Trip details:
When: May 28- June 1
Where: Not totally sure yet, it is between Pop Century and Wyndham Bonnet Creek resort. They are about the same cost but I am not sure I want to stay off property. However, Bonnet Creek looks so nice for the money!
Other details: No dining plan and we plan do mostly quick service to go on the cheaper side. We will do three park days, the day we arrive will be a low key downtown Disney day and the day we leave will just be a driving day. Not sure yet which parks we will be visiting on which days, but that will be part of the planning fun. Oh, and we will be driving, its a long drive, but we actually like to drive.

There is now so much to do, plan park days, meals and of course I better get to making Charlotte some outfits!

So I will be back soon with lots more details! I have research to do!

YAY!! That's so exciting that your husband surprised you with the trip! May 2014 sounds WAY better than having to wait until 2015!! Don't you love the Disney Vera Bradley print? My boyfriend got me the Where's Mickey cosmetic case for Christmas! He told me they had sold out but he actually found a way to get me one! I loved the story about your daughter wanting to build an Olaf after seeing Frozen! So cute! :) I'll be following along!
