We are scheduled on Disney Magic on 1-8-05...will have our three boys ages 1, 5, and 7. Is it true we can only register for 3 spots for Flounders Nursery?? Is it possible to have more slots in the evening....or does it book up? I read that many people have been able to get what they wanted but just needed to know the inside scoop so my DH and I can enjoy some of the night life. ALso, has Flounder's been expanded? Do they have specified amount of one year olds, 2 year olds, etc? ANy advice on Floundres would be appreciated!

You are only allowed to sign up for 3 times at first, so everyone has equal opportunity to get some time away from their under 3YO's. If you go back during that first night, and there is additional space open, you can then get additional times. You also don't find out if you got your space until the night before when you receive a confirmation call, though you are pretty much guaranteed of your 3 slots. Just make sure you go to Flounders ASAP and sign up. You can then ask the CM's the procedure for getting additional space, but I believe that is how it works.

I will do what you say...thank you! Is the three slots mean 3 two hour slots, or is it just any three slots regardless of time blocked out? I guess I can't figure out how much time one slot can give me? And how do I know when to book for Palo's? Do I stand in line for that ressies first then run to Flounders???

I'd book Palo first, then go to Flounders. That way you know what night you REALLY need and list that one first on your request sheet. You have to book a minimum of 2 hours per stay, but you're allowed 3 stays, regardless of time booked, ie you could book the entire evening 6 - 12 and it would only count as 1 booking.

I got space at flounders everyday for my one year old. Sometimes both in the morning and in the evening. Just ask that first evening for more spaces and be nice....I think that goes along way.....

I feel much better about Flounders. I will be very nice and hopefully DH and I will get a few moments alone. IF you think of any other advice, let me know.

If you're doing Palo's or the Spa, be sure to note that on your Flounder's request for time slots. Also when you drop your kids off at the club and Flounders be sure to let the counselors know you're going to Palo or the Spa. They'll make extra effort to distract your kids so they're happy and you aren't paged.

Sometimes when a child says "I want my Mommy" the counselor can say, "Mommy's having dinner with Daddy right now but will be back in a little while..why don't we color, work a puzzle, etc" and the child will be perfectly fine.

Have a great time on the cruise.

Great tips. I hope to coordinate the time between setting up Palo's and the spa ( do you reccommed the Surial ?) and then get to Flouonders in the long line ( at least that is what the posts indiciate)...maybe I will luck out and the cruise won't be heavy in children under 3! I am not sure how my little one will do but we hope he will be content!

Tambo3 put down all your requests on the first day. They just ask that you tell which 3 are your first choices. Request as much time as you need You can always cancel or change the times with 4 hours notice.
I asked for every night from 10-12 and got all .However, on the first night when I picked my son up he was upset. The counselor told me that at about 1140pm they do clean up so the kids aren't allowed to use the toys but they put a movie on. My son had no interest in the movie so he got upset. ANyway I then changd my request from 930-1130 so that he was gone before clean up time and he loved it and went every night except pirate night because he wanted to come to the party with us.
have a greattrip and enjoy the alone time.

I am thrilled to hear that I can put what I need down and empasize my top three and let them call me. Do you know what hours they are open? Anytime during the day? or is it just 5pm until 12?

We sailed 10-16. We signed up for every night. We had to put stars next to our 3 most important days. We received a call every day that we were booked for the following evening.
We also had DD 2, in Flounder's so we could go to brunch at Palo.
We were able to get her in every night.

But I love the surial bath. It is fun and reasonably priced. I know somepeople say that you are paying but you do all the work...but myhusband and I loved it.

If you are taking Walkie Talkies on the ship I have heard that the adults split up and one go to Palo or the Spa and the other to Flounders and then communicate once Palo and the Spa are booked and the one in Flounders is there waiting to book the times immediately.

Wow - did that make sense or has it been a long day at the office?
