Only 3 days to go!!! One minor question though...

It seems impossible, but there's only 3 more days until we leave for our first DVC trip. I bought into BWV last year, sight unseen. In fact, even though I've been to DW many times over the years, I've never stayed on-site or even anywhere close by. I'v e always been staying on one of the coasts, and would drive over to do one of the parks. Since I've been SO under-privileged, I have a feeling that I will fall in love with the whole experience of staying right there. We are staying at OKW for our first trip, but hope to try out BWV soon too.

Anyway, sorry for the babbling. Here's my minor question: Will the front desk at OKW cash traveler's checks if I just want cash without buying something in a shop or restaurant? I know that we can charge things to our room (right?), but I will be wanting cash too.

hi: oooooooooooo! how exciting for you! i'm jealous-have to wait til may. yes, the front desk will cash travellers' checks as well as personal checks (i think the limit on personal checks is $50-$100 per day-i don't remember). have a wonderful trip! you will love bwv as well as okw. the location at bwv is ideal imho.

With the exception of cart vendors (ice cream, water, soda, etc.) everything at WDW can be charged to your room card. This is a perk that allows you to carry little or no cash when you are at the parks or at the pool... but youv'e got to be careful to avoid returing home with a credit card bill that far exceeds you vacation budget.
