Only 10,000 Dell Notebook $750.00(up to 50% off)code, <24 hours.[ALL GONE]

I have an old laptop (inspiron 3500) and love it. I can take it everywhere. I would really like to get a new laptop this year but hubby's work is really slow.

I will probably wait till next year. The 600 and 700 are most appealing to me. I like small/thin ones. I'm going to start Real Estate school and will definately NEED a new laptop. Mine is slow and filled up.

What is the basic difference between the 600 & 700? Also, I get a 12% discount for being a Mary Kay Consultant, does this work with coupons as well?

....All GONE...fatwallet.com and slickdeals.net both say the deal is now dead and all 10,000 are sold. I would not have believed it unless I saw that they said it was dead. In less than one hour...wow.

Well maybe next time everyone.

Of course in October, 2004, they didn't sell out until late in the afternoon.

Again, the deal is dead.

Dell won't combine the discounts. For the best deal, configure one close to $1499 (price before any discount) but not under and then take off the $750.

Looks like the site is quite busy!
Yep.
Dell has some great deals, but they are never quite as good as they first appear to be. Yes, you could get a $1500 laptop for $750 with this coupon, but that $1500 laptop probably sells for $1200 or less almost every day with all the weekly 20% off "specials". Still a good deal, but not really half off.

For those who missed this deal, there will be another one, but you may have to wait a few months. Check out the fatwallet hot deals forums for more info. You can sign up for email notification of new hot deals with certain keywords.

You'd be surprised at how many people seem to spend all their waking hours scouring the internet for hot deals. Check out fatwallet's hot deals forum and you'll see what I mean.

In the case of the Dell deals, no, they aren't typically marked up. But when you use a coupon code, you usually lose any other discounts and possibly some of the special upgrade offers. And if you visit Dell's site much, you will see that they pretty much ALWAYS have 10-20% "sales" going on and various free upgrades. The $750 off deal is a very very good deal, but it's actually more like 300-400 less than what you would normally pay. Still a good discount, but certainly not half price.

It still works with my Employee Discount. But we don't need a computer.

What do you mean people by 100s of computers? I guess they must run some kind of computer business where they resell them. Do people really make a profit doing that?

I have to thank you for this posting. My DH has been looking for a laptop. I sent him this post, and he went online. He first said ok, not a bad deal, then he entered the coupon code. He was like WOW. The laptop he put together was 4000 before tax, after he entered the code and tax, it was down to 2500. He was a very happy camper, he couldn't believe it. And he knows his prices. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Now he won't complain so much when I read these boards!!!

Ok, so I spend every waking hour on the internet, one window open to Disboards the other to www.fatwallet.com. Ok there I admitted I have two addictions, you got me, now what? I need help, and sleep. :badpc:
You are right this deal is about $200-$400 better than most of the deals they offer. You don't get to use the other discounts but you usually don't lose the free upgrades. It is the best when they are doing both. I just wish they would limit it to 1 or 2 per person or not allow warranty to transfer, that way so many don't end up on Ebay.

For the Employee Purcahse you have to have a company code. Not anyone can do it, right? I put it in my shopping cart and got my 10% plus $750 off plus extra 4% off and free shipping. But we don't need a laptop :(

LOL.
You should have seen me when I was shopping for a laptop last year. Or when I was shopping for a digital camera the year before. Or a month before thanksgiving last year when I was anxious to see the leaked flyers for Black Friday(day after thanksgiving sales for those who don't know) so I could formulate my plan of attack.
I've had times when I was checking fatwallet at least a dozen times a day.
I also used to spend several hours a day on the forums at anandtech.com.
Since I started planning my WDW trip, I don't think I've been there more than once or twice.
But hey, at least I'm not obsessive. ;) ;) ;)

DH got one. He is our household bargin finder and got the deal message from fatwallet. He had me waiting by the computer to make the order he had prepared. He had been searching for one to use in his truck and save us both time working on our business. I am so glad they had this offer it really saved us some $$$. I was good glad to hear about this offer.

I really wish I saw this yesterday when they were available. I've been looking for a laptop, and this would have been great. Oh well, hopefully I'll be able to get in on the next deal.

I also tried the link for the Employee Purchase, but it wouldn't let me do it since I didn't have the right id.
