Only 1 way to get to Monorail now ??

Before VMK changed Main Street by adding all the new shops and stuff, you used to be able to click on World Map, then VMK, the Monorail, and finally the Instance. You could also get to the monorail after going to Gus and finally at Tomorrowland Hub.

So VMK took away access to the Monorail via the World. You can not get to it after you have seen Gus, so the only way I have found is by using the Tomorrowland Hub. However, there is no way to choose an instance.

Am I having a "senior" moment or are we limited to only getting to the Monorail through Tomorrowland Hub now and not being able to choose an instance?

Thank you in advance :upsidedow

Hey Tigger,

Have to go through the hub. :)

- J.

ETA: Okay, 2 years in this place and it seems there are shortcuts I have no clue exist based on comments below. Good thing others know how this game works because clearly I am a new.be. rofl

You can also get to it by going esplande in the bottom right corner.

I miss the short cut too.

There is an exit to the monorial behind the dragon (top right), the Esplanade (exit to the right), and the cave thing in the forbidden temple.

I see you haven't taken my Monorail Gold Quest. Too bad I am in the process of changing my quest. ;)

You can get to the monorail in different places:

VMK Esplanade: Look for the exit button near lower right side of the room.
Dungeon: Take the cave exit behind the dragon.
Forbidden Temple: Take the exit inside the skull
Tomorrowland Hub: Take the monorail teleporter
New Orleans Square: Take the path to the right of Club 33.

The Frontierland entrance is a dead end, that right side cave thing on Tom Sawyer Island.

You can also access the monorail by using the quest kiosk. Same procedure as the old walk on water trick. Unfortuately there's no control over the instance though. Hope this might help some.

Wow !! Never knew there were so many ways to get to the Monorail :rolleyes1

:thanks: for all the help and rest assured that I have them on a Post-it note, tacked to the side of my monitor :lmao: :lmao:

Nope, that's just the Frontierland monorail exit. You can get to the Frontierland entrance through the side of the Haunted Mansion Attic opposite the side you enter. :thumbsup2
As far as I know there is no way to choose an instance of these rooms. It was indeed handy to have to shortcut on the main page.

P.S. Why are they all 'Monorail 3' now? Before they added the music game to it, it was 1-5. Only reason I can figure is that in the audio it plays when you enter is says "You are riding aboard the Mark III, (an advanced new second generation design of the first daily operating monorail system in the Western Hemisphere, introduced right here in Disneyland in 1959.)" :upsidedow

OK, I may know all the ways to get to the monorail, but who the heck is Gus??????? :confused3 I too must be a new.be lol

Snap! I knew that was the exit but couldn't remember the Attic! Thanks for the last piece of the puzzle. :goodvibes

I have been on monorail 1, 2, and 3 today. I don't recall ever seeing 4 or 5, but I have only been playing for about a month.

Wow..I too didn't realize there was so many ways to get to the monarail.

I am really really bummed that there is no short cut to the music on the monarail :sad1: ...I loved it...now we have to stand in long lines to get it.
I sure hope they bring it back some how :confused3

I agree..I have never been on anything higher than #3..it is 1-2-3...never seen 4-5??

Aww, you cant forget Gus, our friendly 3rd ghost.he and his 20 NPC credits.

And while we're at it with the monorail discussion, maybe it's time for this:

Bring back the fish!

No problem! :)

Seriously? Well, maybe they do still exist! That's odd...haven't been paying much attention to the numbers until lately when I began to notice it was always 3 when I loaded it.

:fish:
Before they added the music mixer and re-vamped the monorail, it used to just be a fun place to ride around in VMK. There was a little fish tank inside of it that had "Nemo" swimming back and forth. It was really cute, but they took it away!! :(

I hope the link to the monorail returns soon. Hopping onto a full monorail is killing me with the lag and long lines. Please, VMK, please bring it back!

HAH i've been playing about 2 years now and i didn't know you could get to the monorail from the main map page. I knew of every other way but that. rofl. And ummmm what do you mean by " room instance"?
