Just notice on Mousesavers that you can now only book 1 room per Adult AP. I also saw this on another website. We are a family of 5 & book 2 rooms with one AP. Anyone else see this?

I need 2 rooms in December, we have 4 adults, and 2 APs, but the 2 AP holders what to be in the same room. Even though it's listed on Mousesavers I'm not sure how much I want to believe something until I hear it from Disney.
I guess we could lie to Disney and tell them that there will be a AP holder in each room, it's kinda confusing.

I first saw this today another website posted by a travel agent and then checked Mousesavers and saw it there. Not sure how they will keep track of what reservations you make. Most of the time when I check in they don't even ask to see my AP.

Considering the lack of reasonably priced accomodations for larger families, I think this is unfair. (And I don't even have an AP!) What happens if a single parent wants to come with 5 kids??

I don't understand how it is unfair. The Annual Pass is specifically intended to provide theme park admission for the passholder. As an extra benefit to the PASSHOLDER him/herself Disney sometimes offers discounts on room rates for Passholders. If a person purchases an annual pass specifically for room discounts then they are creating their own drama as this is not the intended purpose of the pass and there are never any guarantees that Disney will offer room discounts to passholders. Also, when I read so many posts about how passholders tried to book a discounted room but couldn't because they were all booked up it makes perfect sense that Disney is making more of an effort to ensure availability for passholders themselves. Anyone who is buying the Annual Pass for its specific intended purpose (theme park admission) will normally purchase annual passes for their entire family and booking 2 rooms for a larger immediate family will not be an issue as mom and dad will both be passholders. As for a single parent with 5 kids - lets face it, there are very few families with 5 kids as it is, then factor in those that would be single parent families and then factor in those that would be vacationing at WDW. It is going to be an extremely small number. In such cases Disney might make an exception to their normal policies and if you fall into such a situation then I recommend asking them if such an exception could be made.

Face it folks. It's all about money. Higher weekend rates, one room per AP, etc. Disney is going for the money and I guess I am headed off-site!
