I was just reading an older (9/02) thread about completing surveys online and getting paid for it. This is TOTALLY new to me and since I am eager to sock away as much extra cash as possible for our Sept. trip, I have many questions about this survey thing.
There was a list of survey sites that made my head spin...107 sites and then others added more. On 10/9, Sammy asked which sites are best as far as # of surveys offered and payout. The responses did not give a lot of info. on this. So I'll ask again, if you have experience doing these surveys, please let us know which are the best and which ones to avoid. How much (average) do they pay? I'm not really interested in points, entry into drawings or gift certificates.....Just cold hard checks, mailed to me so I can deposit it into our "Disney Money" bank account!

I have been doing this for a while and only lately have these companies been giving decent monney for surveys.
(I did not link for my benefit (as a referal) I know that is not allowed.

try : www.greenfieldonline.com
www.SurveySavvy.com
www.pineconeresearch.com
www.goZing.com
www.opinionsite.com
http://focusline.com/

These are only some of them out there, but I have recieved cash from pinecone research and greenfield online, hope this helps. Don't forget your change can be traded in at machines in supermarkets for cash, and I have even done bottle returns for cash, I do what ever I can. (I sold some old Cellphones on Ebay and made a few Hundred for this upcoming trip)

Briefly tell how this works, sounds interesting. How long are the surveys and do you have to provide personal information. (just 2 of the main questions)

Initially you provide your name and email address, age, and demographics, then the surveys they send are general questions about specific products they show you via the survey. For instance I was given a survey via email back in august Regarding Disney and their upcoming credit card offer (i am allowed to tlak about it now, now that the card is coming out), but they were having a survey company ask consumers very particular questions, regarding what features I would like, what incentives were attractive and a whole bunch of other things. I was paid $10 for a survey that took about 20 minutes to complete. Sometimes surveys only pay a $1. or two or they only put you in a drawing to win $100, 200 + dollars or so, or they could pay you in Amazon Gift certificates. (I used the $10 Amazon Gift certificates to buy my 4 year old a few toys for the road when we drive down to Disney from NY). another Idea is www.RewardTV.com, they ask you questions regarding shows you watched on TV last night and your correct answers give you points, those points can be used to purchase Gift Certfifcates from them for major companies. I just got enough points fairly quickly to buy a GC for Denny's which I can use for food on the way down. I Work full time an dhave a 4 year old and I find sometime to do these quicjk surveys. I am the queen of free, I search websites like www.fatwallet.com and www.freesamplesite.com/ydf/forums and www.dealcatcher.com forums for freebies and coupon codes. I do anything can to budget every dime. I try to get a code before I order anything off the internet and check the above website, the people on those sites are the equivalent to you Disney experts but when it comes to deals and saving money on everything. Hope this gets you started.

You may want to check out the Disney Rewards Boards.

There is a lot of advise over there on programs like online surveys, paid to read emails, paid to click programs and such. I've been doing several survey programs for a few years now. You won't get rich off of them but they do pay.

One that I like is Vividence.com. They usually pay in Amazon.com GCs for 15 to 20 minute surveys. I earned enough last month to order a Deluxe Passporter with some change to spare.

Other survey sites like Greenfield Online, Pinecone Research and P&G Surveys pay by check. The checks are not that big but when combined, they add up. I made about $100 last year doing surveys.

Love those rewards myself, but never tried those surveys.
I have earned quite a few certificates in less than a year, merely ordering online things I had to get anyway or ordering through direct links from companies I was going to order from anyway... No special, outlandish effort
