We had our first WDW stay in 2011 and we stayed at POR for that wonderful trip. Prior to the trip, we had great fun doing a bunch of online shopping and having it delivered to POR. Doing that and having it delivered to us here in New Zealand means high delivery fees (so hence we don't do it) but, as we had POR as a U.S. address, we made the most of offers with free delivery within the U.S. And, with Amazon, even though I just did one large order for a bunch of things, I was surprised that the whole order did not come in one big box but that lots of the things were sent separately. So when we got to POR and received all of our packages, it felt like Christmas opening them!
We have recently just booked come back again and this time to stay at BWV in a One-Bedroom which we are very excited about. But, as there are five of us, we will need an airbed so I plan to order one online and have it delivered BWV prior to our arrival. Similarly we'll probably want to do some other online shopping like we did last time (but the airbed is the priority) although, due to our awful exchange rate against the U.S, probably not as much as last time.
So I had presumed I could just have purchases sent to BWV like we did to POR and that they would be waiting for us when we got there. However I've just read that, due to something about being a convention hotel, it does not work like that at BWV. Also that there are limited hours of collection (we'd be arriving at about 4pm on a Saturday) and that you have to pay for them to receive the packages!! Because, if so, I'm not sure what and how they charge but, if our purchases were sent in lots of individual packages again, that could be a huge issue and financially difficult for us. Plus we need that airbed for our first night since our 18 year old daughter will need it.
Also, prior to our arrival, I'd plan to do a big Garden Grocer shop as we plan to make good use of the kitchen in the villa. Does BWV accept Garden Grocer orders and so you have to pay to receive them?
If any one knows anything about this, please advise.
Many thanks
