Online reservations- how would this work?

It might be easier to wait the extra hour and call as this might be too confusing however......


I'm looking to change resorts for part of the trip at the 7 month mark. I have 10 nights on one reservation and 1 night on another reservation so 11 nights total at the THV. I am hoping to change to AKV at 7 months for the last 6 nights.

If I go online and the AKV are available, how would I make the change without canceling my entire 10 nights and having to borrow to cover the AKV portion?


Maybe I should call but think that hour might make the difference?

You cannot add on or cancel nights. You can only cancel the entire stay and rebook. I would not risk it as there are likely wait lists for the THV and you would likely not be able to immediately rebook. You should definitely call Member Services.

If you've got the points, you could always book the AKV room online at 8AM and then call back to cancel the portion of the SSR stay at 9...

Thanks! I'll think I'll wait and call. The THV are no longer available. Should be a fun trip, we're really excited.

I'd have to borrow to book it as the points would still be attached to the THV. That would be terrible because then I'd lose the points I borrowed to book the THV.

I'd love club level at AKV and know my chances as of a few days ago were nil. I'm hoping that someone cancels at the 7 month mark. I don't think I'll have much issue getting a 2 bedroom SV though. Here's hoping!
