Tomorrow is 6 days before next Saturday Oct 27 - we have online reservations at All Star Sports. I just looked tonight and noticed that Boardwalk Villas has availability but of course Disney is closed for the night so I have to wait until 7 AM tomorrow to call. So is tomorrow considered too late to cancel the reservation or am I going to be ok since tomorrow is 6 days before and it says - In order to receive a refund, notification of cancellation must be received at least 6 days prior to arrival date.

So am I good if I call tomorrow AM to get it changed? Since I know they have to cancel the one reservation and make a new one. I almost got screwed once before because the cancellation policy was 30 days - but I ended up getting my $ - especially since I was actually spening more money then I originally had intended to and I technically didn't cancel (same thing in this situation)

Any ideas??

They don't have to cancel the original reservation and book a new one -- they should be able to just do a "modification". You will need to put an additional deposit on your credit card so that you first deposit & the additional one equal one night at BWV.

Also, when you upgrade, being inside your 6 days shouldn't matter -- it's if you cancel or downgrade a reservation that Disney will likely charge a penalty.

Have a great vacation! :goodvibes

Well in the past I did what I thought would be a modification (upgraded the reservation to more nights at a deluxe instead of moderate) and they told me they had to create a new reservation and cancel my other one. Then I almost didn't get my refund since they said I cancelled. They couldn't see it my way - that I didn't really cancel since I was still going to be at a Disney resort paying more money - more nights and more expensive hotel.

That could be because you changed the reservation by adding more days. :confused3 I've never had a problem changing resorts and keeping the original reservation.

Have you called yet? I'm interested to know how it turned out. :)
