Online reservation question

The last time we went we always had to call, so this online ADR option is new to me. So, if I make the reservation online and need to cancel while we're there, I can just call and cancel, right? I have the DIS Dining # in my cell. Also, there's no charge to cancel unless it's something like Hoop De Doo or the castle, right?

Or you can just head to Guest Services and cancel it while in a park.

You can also cancel it online of you know the confirmation number snd the phone number you booked it under.
