Online Registration and Rewards Cards

We have a 'room only' reservation for a campsite for Fort Wilderness. I would like to pay our site balance with our rewards, but I would also like to do online registration. If I use online registration, will thy charge my cc for the balance? Is the a way to do online registration but not cover the balance until I am there and use my rewards?

Not really - at least not directly.

A requirement to do on-line check-in is you must attach a credit card to your MDE. That cc will be used to charge your remaining balance about 6am of the morning of your check-in day.

What you can do, is call the reservation line the day before you check-in (or anytime prior), and pay the balance with your rewards that way. Then, since there is no balance due on check-in day, your cc won't be charged.

It's a small, extra step for you, but accomplishes your goals.

Fangorn, a question please. So if i do on line check in today, in September, and our reservation isn't until november our credit card wont be charged with our remaining balance until we physically check in in november. My credit card will not be charged when i check in on line in sept, the balance will be charged in november. Do i have that correct?

Yes. As stated here, the card will be automatically charged in the early morning of your check in day. NOT when you do online checkin
