Hi, Help!

Has this happened to anyone.... I went online to pay off the balance on my room only ressie and after entering my cc info and pressing submit, (and waiting for a while) the next screen came up saying that their reservations system was experiencing problems and to try again later. I am hesitant to try later, because I am afraid that it will charge my card anyway. (something like this happened with another online payment with my telephone co). Has anyone attempted to make a payment and received a message like this, and went on to actually be charged? I am also worried because when I tried to make the payment it said the due date for the balance was today. Kinda strange since room only ressies typically have balances due at check in. I don't want to screw up anything. :confused3

This happened to me last year. I kept calling cro to find out what was wrong and all theytold me was to keep trying....needless to say I was never able to get the website to work for me after that. I was only ablet to book my trip online but whenever I tried to make a payment towards my trip I would get that same error message. I winded up having to call cro eachtime I wanted to make a payment. I couldn't even view my reservation online b/c I kept getting that error. It was such a pain in the neck....why bother booking online when you can't even access their website. I would call to make sure your payment did go through or incase it didnt you can pay it over the phone so you dont loose your reservation. Good luck!

Thank you. I will call right now. Peace of mind and good night's sleep won't happen unless I do!

This has been happening to me, too. Who would have thought it could be so hard to give money to Disney! I've emailed them about the problem, and I'll let people know when (or if) I hear anything.

Haven't had that problem with Disney per se, but no what you mean about fear that credit card was charged and if you try again, you will get a second charge. Call credit card customer service. They should be able to immediately see what charges have gone through or are pending. Will give you some peace of mind (or you can file a complaint). ;)

I would love to hear what they said. I don't think I've been charged. There is no pending(holds) charges on my CC. I think I just send a check like I normally do. That way I will have a cancelled check to prove I paid and I won't end up with duplicate charges as sometimes Disney is know for.

Got an email back asking for my res. number because they couldn't find my reservation without it and that I could call them to make a payment. I sent BACK an email (with the number) explaining that the reservation came up fine...I just couldn't give them any money on the website and wanted to know when the website would be fixed. Still waiting for another answer back...

Here's the response I got today regarding this problem:

The area that maintains our website is aware of the problem, and is currently working to resolve the
error. Until it is resolved, please contact the Walt Disney Travel Company - a division of Disney
reservations at 407 828-8101 daily from 7:00am to 11:00pm Eastern Standard Time. They will be happy
to assist you.

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact us.

Please include your full name, E-Mail address, and reservation number if applicable on all
correspondence.

So, I guess the ease of online payments will be off-limits until they get the problem sorted.

Babybunrab,

Thanks for posting that :flower: . I really think they need to work on that. A big company like Disney should be able to contract the best programmers and software to enable guests to make payments online. I practically pay almost all of my bills on line successfully. Well hopefully for my next trip I will be able to make payments on line.

About a month ago I got an e-mail from Disney [as did many DISers] asking me to take a survey regarding Disney's on line reservation system and why people tended not to use it. Looks like they really want to improve things.
Two things I remember about the survey were
1. Would I be more or less likely to use the on line system if AP and other discount rates were to be made accesable from the site.
2. Would I be more or less likely to use the on line system if they offered some special incentive just for using it.
