Online garden sites/catalogs?

I would like some recommendations of online sites for flower gardens and layout ideas as well as plant suggestions and where the best place is to plant them. I have a couple of projects in mind for this spring/summer but I want to really maximize my options for plants and add some really great smelling plants to my yard. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Here is what I'm hoping to do - providing there aren't any underground wires that will be in my way I need to do the west side of my house as I did around the rest of the house last summer - I need to put in brick and a flower bed along the west side up to the chimney area which is a pretty good sized area. This is an area that will get partial shade/full sun at various times of the day. So most of the plants/bushes will need to be for partial sun. Then I want to put a flower bed out in the front of the house on one of my corners. This will be a full sun area. Then I think I'm done with the exception of getting a few more bulbs to plant in various places with my other bulbs so we have flowers blooming constant during the summer. I just haven't pinpointed yet what I want.

You can check hgtv.com and search the gardening shows. I've also used rebeccasgarden.com and marthastewart.com. Michigan Bulb Co. sends out catalogs with pre-designed gardens so you might want to search for their website too. If I think of any others I'll post them.

I have gotten quite a few ideas from Better Homes and Gardens website and/or magazine. There's also lots of magazine 'special issues' out right now with all kinds of plans and ideas. I like using magazines better than websites so I can be out in the space I'm working on to get a better feel for what might work. Good luck with your garden!
