Online DVC Reservations -- anyone used it?

Just noticed on the DVC member site that we can now reserve online. I'm sure this must have been there for a while and I just didn't notice it (like so many things in life). Has anyone used this system? How did it work for you?

If you are talking about reserving through the email - I have used it during the times that I felt like it wasn't a busy time. Like when I've made reservations for Vero and Hilton Head during their off times. But, it might not be the best idea when trying to get the really busy time of year because they don't reply for a few days. I would worry that if you were booking a GV or BWV Standard View or needing a very specific date during a busy season - then you might want to use the phone and make sure you get what you want instead of waiting a few days while the email is processed. It's never happened to me, but many people on here speak of the need to call immediately at 9:00 a.m. to guarantee certain room types at special times of the year.

we used this just last week. Filled out the ressie info sent it and they sent an email back 2 days later with our confirmation. We had to put first and sencond choose resorts and dates.

I tried to use it, but as Pet1021 says you have to put in first and second choices for accomodations and dates. There also is some sort of statement that said that if making reservations and borrowing is done, they would do the borrowing. I wanted to be sure they borrowed the points from the resort that I wanted, and there didn't seem to be a place to put this in, except maybe by the comments.

I took a chance and waited until the next day, and yippee, we're going to MNSSHP!

Heh, an optimist! 2041 is when the software upgrade is scheduled to be completed; it'll really be closer to 2053
