I've never gone on any of those sites but I just had to tell you what my ds said. We were finishing dinner and the commercial for eharmony came on. My ds6 turned around and looked at me w/the most serious look on his face and says "mom, you didn't even need eharmony to meet Mike" I started busting out laughing.... then he says, " I don't think I'll need eharmony either" omg...ya had to be there. it was hilarous!
The jury's out on this one for me. I have met someone but have hit a rough spot. Talked to lots of men but have only met one and thought he was my prince. Who knows what happens now?
i'd say, like anything, it can be hit or miss.. depends on the person you're meeting.. sometimes they turn out to be someone you can have a relationship with, sometimes they turn out to be stalker-type who you can't run fast enough to get away from!!! in the past i've met a few guys online and i'm still friends with a few and dated one on and off for a few years. it didn't work out with them, but there's a reason for everything and i just knew that because it didn't work out with any of them for whatever reason, someone else better was waiting down the road and now i'm with my fiancee (who i didn't meet online).. so for some people it works out and some it doesn't.. you just never know!
Ok, I'm so old that computer dating didn't exist when I was last single. However, a very good friend met her DH on-line about 7-8 years ago, married him about 3 years ago, and it has worked out great for them. They were cyber pals for about 6 months before they ever actually met.
Was a miss for me. But darn't it, I hate being a quitter so I kept at it for quite a long time. My current BF is someone I have known for almost 18. I can thank our moms for this.
