So, after breaking up with DBF of 7 years (turns out we had opposing viewpoints on fidelity) I am venturing into the world of online dating.

I'm in need of tips on how to properly do this.

For example, is it ok for the girl to email the guy if she likes his profile?

are there any other ettiquite tips that you know / have experienced?

Help!

thanks :)

Welcome to on-line dating. Unfortunately you will get LOTS of losers. Sorry. I use ok Cupid and Plenty of Fish. I think Ok Cupid is a lot more user friendly. What I'll do is view my "matches". I have never contacted anyone first, but since they can see that you've viewed your profile if they are interested they normally contact you.

But, of course it's ok to contact someone you think would be a good match. Isn't that the point of on-line dating?

FYI: My last relationship from OKC had the same problem as your relationship-I won't get into graphic details but apparently if you have relations certain ways that doesn't consitute cheating :rotfl:

Good luck

thanks!

There is one person that i do want to email, but I'm nervous. I guess I shouldn't really be - what's worst case, right? I think I may just feel embarassed if he doesn't write back...

I've gotten quite a few emails so far, but none yet that really pique my interest...then I saw this profile and it did.

Ugh - I wish I wasn't so nervous about this. I haven't dated in so long - I feel so silly to be over-thinking it so much.
