The problem is that "compassion" is an ill defined issue and DVC needs more hard substance to go on. Everyone has a sob story and letting the judgement of the average CM rule is chaos. That's why most resorts use a room assigner. One person that sees/hears it all and gets good at weeding through the crap to give a "fair" assignment to as many as possible. They don't tend to last more than a year or two though in the position as they only get the negatives in almost all cases. I have left gift cards for the RA at some of our resorts even when I got only an OK room because I know how difficult their job is. Just something to say thanks for trying. DVC is so much harder than many timeshares due to the points system and how it functions, even harder than most other points systems. Thanks Dean, I'd like to think that they still have some compassion for us. When I went in December last year, I managed to get the last room at the end of the hallway in VWL. That's when I really found out I had a hip problem! I'm sorry if I highjacked this thread, I didn't mean to. I am interested in online check-in and wish there were other options you could ask for when you do it. I haven't tried it because I read here that you couldn't request a room. I think most of us are still thrilled to be in WDW no matter what room we get![]()
