Online Check In ??

You are still incorrect to say that online check in removes your chance at getting an upgrade

Rooms are assigned 5 days prior to arrival no matter if you do online check in or not
Disagree. Didn’t imply it removes the chance. But not doing online check in will increase your chance at a free upgrade. Other touring planners will attest to that. But you are right that online doesn’t keep it from happening. My point is it hurts your chance. And as for room assignments. That’s a whole different thing. That can also be changed on arrival. If you know the resort and don’t like the location you get. You can ask for a different one. We don’t have to do that often. We usually are more than satisfied anywhere at say POFQ or POP

Y'all are wrong but don't matter to me what you do really. Enjoy your trip

Doing online check in does not decrease your chance for a free upgrade...or even a paid one. You can still go to the front desk upon arrival and inquire about being upgraded.

If you're not concerned about the upgrade thing, online check in was SUPER convenient for our trip last fall. Got our room ready text at 9:39 a.m. as we pulled in the parking lot, dropped our stuff in our room, grabbed a quick breakfast - where we observed the HUGE lines at the front desk check in - & walking in Animal Kingdom at 10: 30 a.m. It was awesome!

Agreed. We would do online if ot wasn’t for the upgrades.

On our October trip, we landed in MCO around 12:30 in the afternoon and got our room ready text while on line for the Magical Express. Went straight to our room when we got to the Poly with no issues. Bell Services brought our bottled water from Instacart with a simple phone call. Online check-in is in the only way to go imo. It was super convenient.

You can ask for a different room assignment without issue when you do online check in, too. They provide a phone number to call when they text your room assignment, you don't even need to go to the front desk (I've done it while on a bus and in DHS). Super easy and convenient.
