What is the benefit of the online check-in??.

You get to bypass the front desk and go straight to your room. If there is an issue with your room assignment, you can still go to the front desk and wait in line to discuss it.

Not everyone gets that benefit. I’ve gotten exactly one room text and it was after is also gone to the front desk.

But I’ve done all the versions of online checkin that they’ve had, even before the room ready text option. It’s something to do, it’s kinda fun, it means your trip is getting closer.
