Online check-in?

Today is my last opportunity to complete Aulani online check-in before we leave, but the web site keeps giving me an error saying "System Unavailable". Has anyone else experienced this? I know at WDW, completing online check-in may set you up to receive the text with the room number, is it the same at Aulani? Any cons to NOT completing online check-in?

I had a similar issue when I tried to check-in via "My Disney Experience" or "Disney Vacation Club" websites. I googled "Aulani online check in" and one of the results got me to a link for a different site to do the online check in. The link worked and I received an email confirming my check in. I'm not sure if we get a room number but we can go to a different line to pick up our room keys (since they don't use magic bands).

We always do online check-in at Aulani, and I've never received my room number ahead of time. All it allows me to do is check in at a special table in the front of the resort as opposed to waiting in the main line in the lobby.
