Online Check in??

I just went to do online check in. Today was our 60 day mark and I had everything set and it asked for credit card for balance of room or anything that might be charged .I left that blank because we don't plan on having anything charged to our room when I went to go and click save it wouldn't let me because I didn't put a CC on there so does this mean I have to wait to check in when I get there.

Probably I never tried to check in without a cc. Most hotels require you to leave some sort of financial info as backup. Not only for charging privileges but in case you decide to smoke on the room or have a wild party.

I am sure it is possible to do it but it will need some manual override so yes you would have to go to the front desk to check in.

I've never done OCI, but I have read reports of others that were able to bypass putting in cc info, while others not. Disney doesn't require a cc on file unless you want room charging privileges, so not sure why a cc is required for some and not others during OCI. With that said, if OCI wasn't completed, you will have to check in at the resort.

I wonder if this is a new policy for online check in.

Disney did just recently update how the online check in page looks and gave more room request options and the ability to change them.

I have not tried to do online check in without a CC even if I don't plan on charging to the room.

If you want to potentially skip going to the desk and have your room number text/emailed to you then I believe having a CC on file is one of the requirements. (Personally I have been able to do this twice now and I was very happy!)

I don't put my CC info. in and am able to do on line check in. You will not get the text with your room number before you get there because they will need to CC info. at the front desk.

Over the last few years they've either gone back and forth on whether you can bypass OR there are glitches. If wait a day and try again.

I tired to do online check in for my mom without a CC and it wouldn't let me...I tried it a few times over the last couple of weeks.

I just did online check in and did not get an opportunity to request any specific buildings, etc. Did I miss something? We are staying at Pop Preferred Pool View. I don't recall when I made the reservation online that it asked me then either but it's possible! Is there a way to check?

Back when I did online check-in at our 60 day mark, I did it for my account, my sisters and my parents reservation. My sister did not have a credit card on file at that time and it let me go through all of the steps with no problem. I just added her card to her reservation just in case, since we arrive on Saturday. It may be something new.

You could always just put a card info in. And if you don't plan to use it you won't have any charges anyway.
