Online check in

I was in line for over 1/2hr because it seems that the people the 3CM's were working with had issues. Over in the on line check in they also has 3 CM's and there was no line. I haven't decided yet which I am going to do this year as the last two years have been a mess checking in.

That's how it always seems to go.....even at the grocery store, they'll be 10 people in line for 2 cashiers and then a 3rd will open and we'll start walking that way to have 20 people jump in front of us LOL

Last year or the year before we did online check in and were headed toward that line at POP and no one was in it. We were coming from the parking lot doors and at the furthest end a huge group just unloaded from the Magical Express and they were heading toward the online check in line too....ugghhh. You hate to look like a goof running to be first....so you just deal with it.

Too bad you can't do online check in from the lobby after assessing the lines LOL

I used it this year for the first time for AKL. We were greeted at the door, and seated in the lobby. Within 2 minutes the woman who greeted us returned with our packet, keys, and everything we needed. It did make everything move more quickly. I did add a cc onto our key card which I believe I did online, and I did make a room request which was honored. We were happy with everything, and we had early check in when we arrived at around 9:30.

We did online check in last year and literally got none of our requests. But they were able to change it at the desk there, I just felt bad because it seems like I should have skipped the online part. Oh well, I guess this time we probably won't because we have specific requests.

Just did online check in at Pop got request- 70's and close to transportation. We cut thru parking lot and we right by bus stops.We arrived at 1145 our room was ready and I didnt wait in line at all. The regular line for check was about 20 people deep. We did a split stay and I did online check in for WL we had a standard view ( and that IT was but the room was ready at 1130, and it was close to lobby and roaring forks. At WL we were the only ones checking in online or regular.

I haven't usually ended up with the best room locations I have used Online check in. Only one time did I get a room that wasn't in the farthest reaches of the resort.

For my trip this past March over Spring Break I didn't use it. We had 2 rooms and ended up in the perfect location, with our request for connecting rooms granted, and a free upgrade to water view rooms.

To me, there is very little (if any) benefit to be had using Online check in.

we've done online check-in about 4 times. i like it. i think if you want to ask questions or make requests then do regular check in at the resort. personally, i think online check-in should be used by people who've been there before and just want to pick up their room keys and go. when it's quick it's quick but when someone starts asking questions it's just like waiting in the regular line. we're pass holders and go frequently so i just want my room key and parking pass and get going so i go ahead and do the online check-in and usually everything is ready to go when we walk up.

I just did on line check in for the first time this trip. I've always been unsure of it, and if my requests will be met. I have them noted on my reservation. Guess I'll find out Wendesday
