Has anyone done online check-in yet? How did it go? What happened when you arrived at your resort? Was it worth it to do, as far as saving time?

I did it at POR at the end of April. My original room request made over the phone when I made the reservation was granted. The regular check in line was about 15 - 20 people long with 4 CM's working the line. The online check in line had 3 CM's and 0 people in line! It worked GREAT! That being said, not enough info has been reported yet. I have a feeling the reports you will get on online check in will be similar to Disney bus transportation - some like it, others hate it.
I have read that SSR had problems during the initial days it was offered. I haven't read any lately, though.

We did online check in 2 weeks ago, everything was waiting on us when we arrived, no lines either. The only problem we had was DDP had been left off by MS  It took a while but we managed to resolve the problem and get our DDP back.

We used On Line Check-In for our trip this past March. It all worked fine, but we didn't save any time checking in compared to our friends who arrived at the same time. We'll try it again for our next trip, but so far I don't see any advantages.

We did on line check in on Easter Sunday at BCV. There were no lines at check in so it wasn't a real time saver. But, the best part was when we got off the Magical Express Bus we overheard the bell service guys saying that must be the XXXX Family. My kids felt very important. So, apparently they know exactly what bus you are on. The expression on the 13 year old daughters face was well worth it.

We just visited 2 weeks ago we did on-line check in and it saved a bit of time.

We didn't have to wait in the long line, as there was a separate check-in desk for on-line check in. AND our room was already available (we checked in in a Saturday at noon). It wasn't the busiest time, but it worked very well for us :)

Thanks for posting this...I was wondering the same thing.

We are at 21 days and counting and I was trying to figure out if I should try it or not. We have 2 reservations. We have a value studio with the DxDDP booked for our arrival day. Our flight lands at MCO at 2pm so I am planning to be at AKL by 4pm. This will be DH's first DVC stay so I want him to be "impressed." I know that he would love it if we had a no-wait check in process. (He is the guy that always stands with the luggage in the lobby trying to wrangle the kids, with that "hurry up already" look on his face:lmao:) A quick and painless check in would be wonderful!

The next morning, we will again check in, this time to a value 1BR. I plan on going down to the front desk around 7am (probably in my slippers!) and checking us in to the 1BR before everyone else gets up. I really do not think doing online check in for that reservation will be of any benefit. I can't believe that it will be all that busy at 7am, will it?

Every time I see a thread about online check-in I read every post. We will be checking in on July 1 and we have the DDP. I'm still very undecided on what I want to do. We will probably be at BCV by 10 or 10:30 AM. I had a CM tell me at one time, that because I have the dining plan, I wouldn't be really saving time by checking in on line because I still have to get in line when I get there to pay for that. Decisions, decisions. Plus I have a request on my reservation and I'm unsure of how that will work or if I'll still have a chance to possibly have that. I know they are not always able to fulfill your request, but I would still like to have a chance for it if it's available.

This is the exact reason why I think I might try it out for our first reservation, but not our second. If our request for a savanna view is not honored for our one night, oh well. I would much rather get my request for the 4-night portion of our stay. I will do the second part of our stay in person.
