online check-in...why would I do it?

We did online check in in April...re flying down...meeting my son and his girlfriend who were driving over from Estero, FL. Since we didn't know who would arrive first....I checked in online..... just in case he arrived before we did, they could get into the room...

question regarding the online checkin - I ended up with three reservations, I have one for 6/24 - 6/27, 6/27 - 6/28 was a cash night, and then 6/28-6/29 points, now the cash night came through ont he waitlist, so I have a straight studio for 6/24-6/29, but still three different reservations. So I did online checkin for the first one, starting on 6/24, should I do anything with the other two, or just leave them alone? All three are in a studio so I know im in the same room all nights.

Anyone?

Great commentary everyone. This seems to be a great topic.

Another Question: Does Beach Club Villas have a separate line for online check in guests?

Yes, there's a sign pointing you in the direction. I checked into the BCV on Monday. However, had changed the names on the reservation AFTER I had checked in on line, so I went to the regular CM, just in case.

On Wednesday, I checked into AKV. I had done on line check-in, but I hadn't known what time we would be getting in, since we had a full day at DHS planned. We arrived around 9PM. Check in was very easy. There was a special place, the CM just went and gave us the already-put-together folder and wrote the room number on the map.

I asked and was told once would be enough. I had two different reservation numbers at BCV because a waitlist had come through and calledso I called MS to ask. That CM told me that checking in for the first would be enough.

However, AFTER I checked in on line, I had DFs call and mentioned they would like to come for a day, so I added them to the reservation through MS. Because of this, I didn't take advantage of the "on line check in" line at BCV.

We bought our Park Hopper passes from Undercover Tourist. I want to have them added to our KTTW card. Is that even possible if we do On Line checkin or should we just use the regular process?
TIA

I'm not sure with online, but check-in can't even do this when you arrive, it has to be done by the concierge. In January when I did this, I checked in and was given our KTTW cards, then I proceeded to the concierge who took our KTTW cards, threw them out and created new ones. :confused3 This seems like such a waste to me! I hope they at least recycle the KTTW cards.

Thank you! I figured as much, but just wasn't sure!! I'm just shocked that I got 5 nights in a studio at Vero less than a month out!!
